As we celebrate 60 years of service, we’re looking back at the people, stories, and pieces of history that helped shape Anthesis.

Pictured are Ralph and Leona Lyons, part of the history of Pomona Valley Workshop, alongside a decorative PVW mosaic that has been preserved at Anthesis headquarters.

These reminders of our past connect us to the families and community members who helped build an organization rooted in opportunity, belonging, and possibility.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing more of the stories behind 60 years of growth.

Rooted in Community. Growing Possibilities.

🛒🥫 121 cans. One meaningful act of community.

Anthesis participants recently went shopping for 121 cans of food to donate to the Service Center for Independent Life (SCIL) Food Pantry, helping provide food and support to Claremont residents and members of the surrounding community.

The donation was also a special tribute to retiring Executive Director Larry Grable, presented on his final day with SCIL in recognition of his years of leadership, service, and dedication to the community.

We’re proud of our participants for putting community inclusion into action and helping celebrate a leader whose work has made a lasting difference.

Congratulations on your retirement, Larry, and thank you for all you have done! 💙

🎙️ New voices. New skills. New opportunities.

Our participants are stepping behind the mic and recording their new podcast! Through experiences like this, they’re building communication skills, confidence, creativity, and discovering new ways to share their voices with the community.

We’re incredibly grateful to our generous donors whose support continues to open new paths and create meaningful opportunities for the individuals we serve. 💙

We can’t wait for you to hear what they’ve been working on!

🎳 A big thank you to the Fulton Foundation for supporting Anthesis’ community integration activities!

Your generosity helps create meaningful opportunities for our participants to build skills, strengthen friendships, enjoy new experiences, and stay actively connected to their community.

Today, that support looked like a little friendly competition at our bowling tournament! 🏅 Congratulations to our 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners—and to everyone who joined in the fun.

We’re grateful to the Fulton Foundation for helping make moments like these possible. 💙🧡

A heartfelt thank-you to Citizens Business Bank for investing in opportunity and inclusion at Anthesis!
