Tomorrow is World Communion Sunday!
A time to remember that we are all more alike than we are different.
Part of our tradition is centered around a table. A table where we come together with all of our differences and all of our past hurts and all of our expectations, i’m still find a way to be community as we share in the abundant life and love of Jesus the Christ.
A prayer from our Global Ministries partners:
“We gather today as the people of God, as a community of Christ’s followers. We gather to share Word and sacrament, to discern the ways of faithful service. We serve our God in this community and throughout every land. Let us serve by working toward justice where there is oppression, by offering comfort where there is pain, by sharing love where there is hatred. The Spirit beckons us, because Jesus calls us to enact our faith. Let us now worship the one who calls us!”
Stay after church to enjoy some October birthday cake!
And don’t forget to bring your E-Waste as our youth group will be completing their service project next week and taking it to a recycling center.
