She has a great attitude! Easy to support this young lady!

Last Chemo treatment!
This young lady was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer late last year. She has had chemo treatments, surgery, and more chemo. Brandt House assisted her financially at times and provided emotional support throughout. She is so thankful and appreciative of all your support. When I asked her permission to post her picture she agreed and said “Tell your donors I appreciate them so, so much. God bless them for their kindness.” This picture is her after her final round of chemo.

Brandt House assisted this young woman, and her son get into an apartment recently. She had the deposit but not the 1st month’s rent. We paid it for her. This week she called again, not asking for more assistance but to repay us. She wants to pay it forward to help others. Now we are meeting to discuss improving her credit score to eventually qualify for a 1st time home buyer loan.

We recently had the opportunity to meet with a single Mom with a 13 yr. old son who had been homeless for 2 months. She is employed and had found an apartment. She paid the deposit but didn’t have all the 1st month’s rent. After discussing a plan for sustaining a budget, we agreed to help. We verified with the property manager and delivered a cashier’s check to the property. She picked up the keys, picked her son up from school, and they were able to sleep in their own apartment that night!

Christmas in Charlotte!
The 3rd annual Brandt House, Inc.
Stocking Squad proved highly successful.
We successfully distributed stockings to 26 high school students in the Charlotte area. We extend our gratitude to all donors! Happy holidays!
