Last weekend, we proudly celebrated the achievements of our incredible Rhoers during our annual Rhoyal Image Awards!

Our Rhoers continue to exemplify the values of leadership, scholarship, service, and sisterhood through their dedication to both their communities and personal growth. Throughout the year, these young ladies have participated in service projects, leadership development activities, educational programs, and community initiatives that have made a meaningful impact on those around them.

We are extremely proud of each Rhoer and grateful for the passion, commitment, and heart they bring to our affiliate. Their accomplishments remind us that the future is bright when young women are empowered to lead and serve.

This past weekend, we proudly celebrated the power of service, collaboration, and community during our annual Rhoyal Image Awards.

A special thank you to the outstanding community organizations, businesses, and partners who were recognized for their unwavering support throughout the year. Your generosity, dedication, and commitment to making a difference have helped us expand our impact and better serve the communities throughout our service area. Together, we have supported educational initiatives, health and wellness programs, youth development opportunities, community service projects, and so much more.

Today, we celebrated the culmination of a year filled with purpose, service, scholarship, and sisterhood at our Annual Rhoyal Image Awards.

As we reflect on the 2025–2026 sorority year, we are incredibly proud of the impact we have made throughout our communities. Through meaningful partnerships, service initiatives, youth programs, wellness events, and educational outreach, we remained committed to uplifting and empowering those we serve.

We were honored to recognize and invest in the future by awarding the 2026 Dr. Gloria Lindsey-Tate Scholarship to three outstanding young women who exemplify academic excellence, leadership, and promise.

We also took time to celebrate the heart of our chapter: our phenomenal Sorors. Through their dedication, passion, and unwavering commitment to Sigma Gamma Rho's principles, they continue to make a difference in our chapter and throughout North Mississippi.

It was a beautiful day of creativity, connection, and community!

The Mu Iota Sigma Chapter would like to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who joined us for our Annual Painting in the Park event. From the colorful masterpieces created on canvas to the laughter shared among friends, this event was a wonderful reminder of the power of fellowship and self-expression.

We were thrilled to see participants of all ages come together to relax, unwind, and embrace their inner artist while enjoying the beauty of the outdoors. Your energy, enthusiasm, and support helped make this event a tremendous success!

Today, we are proud to shine the light on Soror Tiambria Malone, a spirited and dedicated member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. since November 11, 2023; and on a journey that is just getting started!

One of Soror Malone’s proudest accomplishments has been building a strong and meaningful bridge between her graduate chapter, The UnMIStakably Greater Mu Iota Sigma, and the undergraduate Xenacious Xi Omicron Chapter. Through mentorship, unity, and genuine sisterly connection, she has helped strengthen the bond between generations of Sorors.

Soror Malone serves her community both spiritually and professionally. Through praise dance, she ministers and encourages others, and as a law enforcement officer, she remains committed to protecting and serving with integrity, compassion, and heart.

Her favorite Sigma memory so far? The 86th Southeastern Regional Conference, an unforgettable experience filled with joy, love, and lifelong memories alongside her Sophisticated Sorors.

Soror Malone is passionate about creating pathways for people who are often left to figure things out alone, especially in spaces connected to identity, creativity, and resilience. Her personal motto, inspired by Tupac Shakur, reminds us all to believe in ourselves and never let anyone stop our shine.

To new and aspiring Sorors, her advice is simple and powerful: keep moving, stay true to who you are, and never let circumstances define your outcome. You are a Greater Woman, so continue to set the bar high!

Soror Dominique Winters-Clark nominated Soror Malone and shared:
“Since joining the chapter, she has come in with her boots on the ground, ready to work. Her passion for service is evident, and she approaches her work with both vision and purpose.”

It's Water Safety Month! Our chapter proudly partnered with the Psi Mu Mu Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. to spotlight the importance of water safety! Together, we had an impactful discussion led by lifeguard Alvin Davis, who shared essential tips on staying safe in and around the water.
We’re committed to making a splash in our community—through knowledge, prevention, and partnership.
