Meet Akiko (autumn child) who was hit by a car Friday on a major highway near Memphis. Our thanks to Tom, Michael and all who saw her lying on the side of the road and stopped to help her. Fortunately, she was taken to our vet’s office who contacted us. As you can see, this leg is in pretty bad shape and will require amputation. She was scanned for a microchip but sadly doesn’t have one so we cannot easily locate her owner. No collar or identification tags either which leads us to believe she was dumped. If you have any information about this sweet young female, please reach out to us or to Oak Tree Animal Clinic in Olive Branch, Mississippi. SARA will not abandon her when she needs us most.
