The Olean Kennel Club’s Fall FastCAT Trial is officially OPEN for entries! 🎉

Join us October 10 & 11 at Hinsdale Memorial Park for a weekend of fast dogs, happy handlers, friendly volunteers, and fall colors!

We’ll have TWO FastCAT events each day, giving your dog the chance for up to FOUR runs over the weekend — whether you’re chasing a personal best, working toward that next title, or just coming out to enjoy one of the most exciting dog sports around!

📅 Saturday, October 10 & Sunday, October 11
📍 Hinsdale Memorial Park | Gile Hollow Rd., Hinsdale, NY
🐕 Two events each day
💲 $27 per dog, per run for pre-entries
⏰ Pre-entries close September 25 at 5:00 PM
🏁 Limited to 165 entries per event
💨 Fully fenced FastCAT course
⏱️ Electronic timing + continuous-loop lure operated by Hudson Valley Lure Coursing
🏵️ Beautiful title ribbons

And if your pup is getting close to a BCAT, DCAT, FCAT, or FCAT+, we’ll have big, beautiful title rosettes available for dogs completing titles at the trial! 🏆 Please let the Event Secretary know in advance if you think your dog may title with us.

📸 Plus, there will be plenty of opportunities to capture those flying-dog faces, with Nose2Tail Photography - Canine Events and Sierra Archer's Canoeplace Candids - Pet Photography joining us for the weekend!

We will also have some fabulous vendors on site!

Never tried FastCAT before? Don’t let that stop you! It’s a timed 100-yard dash where dogs get to do something many of them already love: RUN! Dogs must be at least one year old and registered with the AKC (PAL or AKC Canine Partners dogs are welcome).

🍂 Whether your dog is a seasoned speedster or you’re ready to find out what they can do, we’d love to see you at the starting line this fall.

Entries are open NOW — don’t wait to claim your spots! 🐾💨

Late and day-of entries may be accepted for $35 per run if space remains, but pre-entering is the best way to make sure your dog gets to run.

Our first Rodeo Dog class filled so fast that we’ve opened a second class at 7:15 PM!

If you missed out on the first session, here’s your chance to come try this fun, accessible dog sport with Donna Dombek and Jo Ann Dombeck.

🤠 SADDLE UP — RODEO DOG CLASS IS COMING TO OKC!

Looking for something new, fun, and totally different to try with your dog? Come give Rodeo Dog a whirl!

Rodeo Dog takes inspiration from equestrian events like barrel racing and gymkhana, but this time your dog is your teammate! Together, you’ll navigate patterns around barrels and cones while building focus, communication, confidence, and teamwork.

And one of the best parts? No jumping required! That makes Rodeo Dog an accessible sport for a huge variety of dogs — from puppies and beginners to seniors and seasoned competitors.

Over this 3-week class, instructors Donna Dombek and Jo Ann Dombeck will introduce teams to beginner and performance-level Rodeo Dog games, including:

🐾 Cloverleaf
🐾 Straight Line
🐾 Round Up
🐾 Lock, Stock & Barrel

You’ll also learn the basics of Rodeo Dog registration, titles, and what to expect at a trial — perfect if this is your very first introduction to the sport!

🐾 What a fantastic weekend of agility! As we wrap up another wonderful trial, we want to extend a huge and heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who helped make the weekend run so smoothly and successfully.

🐾 A very special thank you to our judge, Jo Powers, for the fun and challenging courses and for spending the weekend with us!

🙌 Huge thanks to our worker wrangler, Kim, and to all of the competitors and our members who volunteered throughout the weekend. Agility trials simply cannot happen without volunteers, and we are so grateful to everyone who stepped in, filled a position, set bars, ran leashes, scribed, timed, gated, and helped wherever needed.

📋 Thank you to our wonderful trial secretary, Denise, for keeping everything organized and running smoothly.

🏟️ Thank you to Shelly and Premier Dog Sports & Event Center, LLC for welcoming us and providing such a great place for our dogs and handlers to play!

🍴 Thank you to Michelle, Amanda, and JoAnn for taking care of our lunches and keeping everyone well fed!

🛠️ A big thank you to our course builders, Lynn and Mike, and to everyone who jumped in to help set courses throughout the weekend. Your teamwork kept the trial moving and made all those runs possible!

And, of course, an enormous thank you to all of our competitors and their wonderful dogs! ❤️ Whether you took home a ribbon, earned a title, reached a personal goal, celebrated a beautiful run, or simply enjoyed time in the ring with your best friend, we loved having you with us. It’s the bittersweet third and final day of our AKC agility trial at Premier Dog Sports & Event Center, LLC.

Yesterday brought so many fantastic runs, exciting wins, new titles, big milestones, and moments to celebrate. Congratulations to all of our teams on their accomplishments! 👏

Now it’s time for one more day of agility fun! Best of luck to everyone stepping up to the line today. May the bars stay up, the contacts be solid, the weaves be speedy, and—most importantly—may you and your dog have an amazing time together! 🐾

Agility Trial Day 2 — Let’s Go! 🐾

Day 1 of our Agility Trial was absolutely fantastic, and we’re ready to keep the fun rolling today at Premier Dog Sports & Event Center, LLC!

Yesterday was filled with speedy runs, awesome teamwork, happy dogs, and plenty of reasons to cheer. We can’t wait to see what Day 2 has in store!

Good luck to all of today’s teams! Run fast, have fun, celebrate every success, and most importantly, enjoy every moment with your incredible canine partners.
