Baseball season is almost here, and the community is preparing to celebrate as the Olean Oilers host their annual season kickoff party ahead of the 2026 campaign in the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League.
The kickoff event will feature live music by Andy Hannon, opportunities for fans to meet the 2026 Oilers players, and a variety of raffles, including prizes such as a Blackstone Grill and a 65-inch television.
The Oilers are currently preparing for Opening Day on May 29 in Jamestown. The teamโs first home game is scheduled for May 30 against the Jamestown Tarp Skunks at Bradner Stadium.
In addition to celebrating the upcoming baseball season, the event will also help support the Olean Fireworks Fund, which organizers say is entirely community funded.
As part of the fundraiser, attendees will have the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets for a co****le set donated by Scott and Karen McGovern-Graham. The winning ticket will be drawn during the kickoff event on Wednesday, May 27. Raffle tickets are available for $5 each or three for $10.
Organizers also announced that fireworks donation canisters at more than 35 locations are now available throughout Olean and Portville, providing residents with an easy and accessible way to contribute to the annual celebration. Community members may donate spare change or cash directly into the canisters or use Venmo QR codes displayed on each container for electronic contributions.
Additional fundraising efforts are also underway through a 2026 car raffle coordinated in part by the Oilers organization. The grand prize is a brand-new 2026 Chevrolet Trax provided by Paul Brown Chevy, along with more than $7,000 in additional cash prizes.
Raffle tickets are available for $50 each or three for $100, with the drawing scheduled for July 24, 2026, at Bradner Stadium.
