Lightning!!!! OSA requires games and or practices to stop activities outdoors when there is lightning within 10 miles. You must wait 30 min from the last lightning strike within a 10 mile radius before resuming.

Playing in the rain is a blast but lightning is extremely dangerous.

Stay safe, play another day.

We have been getting a lot of questions about the weather so wanted to address them as best we can. OSA does not have a specific rule to cancel all practices/activities at a specific temperature. What we do have is required and frequent (every 15-30 min) water breaks after 90 degrees.

Coaches/parents please use your best judgement when it comes to practices.

There are a lot of factors that can be taken into consideration, age of players, shade availability, practice location (turf vs grass), time of practice, etc.

If you are asking us if we are canceling because it is too hot, then it’s likely too hot!

Safety is not only a priority of the OSA but should be priority of all coaches parents and participants.

For the U6 teams, we have room to add one more player. If you have a U6B who wants to play and you can coach, we can add them!!

Each season we get more and more kids registered, which means we need more volunteers to coach. Parents please understand that we do not guarantee a coach for your child. Coaches are YOU the parents or family friends or relatives

For those interested in attending, we will have 2 parent meetings about our fall 2026 season. Today and Thursday 7:30pm at the Sherwood Community Center.

This meeting is completely optional but recommended for new and returning parents so you can ask questions and get information about the season.



We still have 14 teams without a coach. If you can coach your Childs team, please reach out. If we don't get volunteers by the end of this week, these kids won't be able to play.

We need coaches for U5B, U6B, U4G, U5G, and U6G
