When people ask why we need a community center for the + community, one of the many reasons we give is that it’s still not safe for , , and/or ***r youth and adults to live in West Texas. Only by giving space for our community here in the can we address together threats to our health and safety.

In 2026 even ONE mentally-ill, violent, and evil person in our community wanting to hurt or kill is one too many. Sadly, we know these homo/transphobic criminals are numerous.

It is scary that Pride Center West Texas’ leaders were at LubbockPRIDE when this threat existed for all of the families, children, adults, and community members gathered there. It is scarier to think that some people still feel their silence is anything other than silent endorsement of hate and violence against our . Stand up and speak out, Allies.

Thank you to the FBI for saving lives that we here at PrideCenterWT believe are the brilliant future leaders of our world.

What a weekend celebrating Pride this weekend!

Our board members made it up to Lubbock to support our local communities with Loud & Proud: Levelland's 1st Ever Drag Show!👑🌈. A smashing success that is already looking forward to next year’s event!!

Next was LubbockPRIDE with an incredible festival (if you’re in Lubbock, check out Outlaw Eggrolls. Amazing performers and vendors all working together to build community.

And to cap it all off, a huge congratulations to Odessa’s very own powerhouse, Nycole Roulette Dion of Pride Center West Texas for winning the Lubbock Pride Lipsync Extravaganza against 16 other competitors!

The official after party at Club Luxor capped off the amazing weekend with outstanding performances from the Lip Sing Extravaganza 2026 winner, Nycole Roulette Dion and other local stars from the house of Nite, Nyx At Nite and Anastasia At Nite!

Our commitment to continue building safe spaces and partnerships with local communities and organizations is as strong as ever! We at Pride Center West Texas are so excited at these new relationships and opportunities.

Today Pride Center West Texas is kicking off with our support of 🎉 The Elton John Impact Awards! This event celebrates trailblazers who continue to shape culture and advance equality for LGBTQ+ communities worldwide.
P&G, iHeartRadio, and the Looking Out Foundation all came together for this event that will support more than 180 LGBTQ nationwide via CenterLink: in order to help us all further expand access to critical health services, youth programs, advocacy, and safe spaces for connection and belonging.
