Keystone, looking for feedback.. (keep it clean, folks)
Last week the new lights at the intersection of Tarpon Springs Rd and Gunn Hwy were turned on. And the timing is wonky (if you tried to turn from Gunn onto TS Rd, the green arrow lasted what felt like one second. I am working with the county on this.
Where I need your feedback is the vertical curb installed at the edge of the Citco station. The curb was put in place for the pedestrian crossing. It was re-engineered to set back farther but I am still hearing there are issues turning onto Gunn Hwy, especially for those with horse trailers and large trucks.
Please let me know what you are experiencing, preferably with pictures that are date stamped.

For those of you who have reached out, this variance has been continued until October LUHO.
Owner wants to put a dumpster in the wetlands but can't be bothered to pick up the old couch cushion that has been sitting on the property for months when they put up the sign.

A racing-themed development is proposed for 500 acres in the middle of multiple preserves near Naples.

The proposed subdivision would center on an automotive test track built in the 1980s. Its neighbors include the Florida Panther National Wildlife Refuge, the Picayune Strand State Forest, the Fakahatchee Strand Preserve State Park, and Collier County’s own Dr. Robert H. Gore III Preserve.

“Think of all the work that went into assembling all those preserve properties,” said Matthew Schwartz, executive director of the South Florida Wildlands Association. “And they want to plop their project right in the middle of it.”

This page was created is to share land use issues that affect the Keystone-Odessa community. We challenge those developments that go against our community plan.
THE KEYSTONE-ODESSA COMMUNITY PLAN IS A LEGAL DOCUMENT.
This page was not created nor it is normally used for political purposes. But we would be remiss not to share those who actively work against us.
Stephen Dibbs has been one of the biggest adversaries in our community who we have fought for decades. He has sued Hillsborough County more times that we can count.
So to find out one of our commissioners who has never stepped foot in Keystone and has consistently voted against upholding our community plan, has accepted numerous campaign contributions from Dibbs is an insult to all those who live in Keystone.
The majority of District 5/Countywide Commissioner Cameron Cepeda's current campaign donations are from Stephen Dibbs. That is her biggest donor!
Editing this post to add the additional financial contributions from Dibbs that Cepeda has accepted in a PAC that allows more than the $1k limit per entity. Totaling $20,000.
Vote for those who care about our rural communities like Keystone.

Commissioner Donna Cameron Cepeda, who consistently votes against our Keystone-Odessa Community Plan was not in attendance. But she'll be at a small library in Lutz with 20 parking spaces next week during the day when most of us are working if you want to meet her.

The Keystone--Odessa Community Plan IS A LEGAL document and our community will fight to uphold it!

After a series of hearings, the county commissioners and public are in agreement that issue of data centers must be studied before moving forward on whether to allow them in the county.

For generations, Sand Hill Reservation has served as a destination for camping, hiking and Scout activities in Hernando County. Now, a proposal involving nearly half of the property has former Scouts fighting to preserve a place they say helped shape their lives.
