Billy Ray would like to say hi! He prefers to stay on the upper bunk in the barn and "oversee" everyone's activities.

The original GOAT!

We are so grateful for St. Petersburg College Veterinary Technology Program. We love seeing our future veterinary professionals in action and getting to meet our herd. They are always so wonderful with each of our babies.

SURPRISE, SURPRISE!! TWO LITTLE CUTIES!!

CONTENT WARNING: Contains graphic imagery of labor and birth. Viewer discretion is advised.

When we recently rescued Maisie from the Citrus County Animal Services auction, we suspected she might be pregnant. Comparing her original photo with a more recent one they posted, her significant weight gain had us wondering if a little surprise was on the way!

After bringing her home to LBFS, we had her thoroughly examined and tested, and sure enough, Maisie was expecting! We were beyond grateful that we could give her not only a safe place to land, but also a safe place for her babies to enter the world.

Well, last night in the early evening, Maisie surprised us all by delivering two precious baby boys! And what a trooper she was! Maisie is a very petite goat, but these little guys arrived healthy and strong, weighing in at 4.3 pounds for the firstborn and 3.5 pounds for his little brother.

Maisie is already proving to be a wonderful mama, and both she and her boys are doing beautifully. Needless to say, we are completely smitten with this sweet little family!

There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a rescue story unfold with such a beautiful ending. We are so incredibly grateful for a healthy delivery, two thriving baby boys, and the opportunity to give this little family the safe, loving beginning they deserve. Welcome to the world, little ones! 💙

Our feed storage cans are in need of replacement! Does anyone happen to have any gently used 13- or 20-gallon metal cans they’d be willing to donate?

We’ve also listed some options from Amazon below for anyone who would like to purchase one for us. Every donation makes a difference, and we would be incredibly grateful for any help in keeping our animals’ feed safely stored!
