Big Daddy got his makeover yesterday!

A huge thank you to Bella and Gigi from the Sickles FFA Chapter for spending the day at LBFS and taking such wonderful care of our sweet boy. With so much patience, kindness, and hard work, they carefully worked through Big Daddy's thick coat until he was completely sheared.

Not only does he look handsome, but he is feeling so much more comfortable and relieved. We are incredibly grateful for the time, dedication, and love they showed him. Thank you, Bella and Gigi, for making such a difference for Big Daddy!

Our beautiful senior girl, Miley- just living her best life. She is certainly a favorite amongst the herd. Ace protects her, the girls love her, and Fiyero swears she is his girlfriend.

CRYSTAL RIVER SHEEP UPDATE!!

The Crystal River sheep have arrived!

All of the stars aligned for these four sheep, making this Ladybug’s biggest rescue yet. So many people and resources were in the exact right place at the exact right time to make this happen.

It is a big story that will require many thanks to everyone involved. For now, we want you to know that these babies are safe from the storms, decompressing, and enjoying plenty of good food and hay.

We will begin the healing process at their pace, starting with shearing, hoof trims, vaccines, deworming, blood draws, and pregnancy checks.

This Memorial Day, the herd enjoyed a watermelon party, one of their favorite treats! 🍉
As we watched them crunch away with wet faces and happy tails, we were reminded how grateful we are for the freedom to do what we love every day: caring for these amazing animals and giving them the life they deserve.

Today we also pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Their courage and service will never be forgotten.

Wishing everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day from all of us, and the watermelon-loving herd! 🇺🇸

Boy is this heat no joke and its not even summertime yet! A few years ago, our wonderful supporters donated amazing fans for the barns, and we’re now needing replacements after years of use in the Florida heat.
