🎉 LET’S CELEBRATE! Cheers to 3 years!🎉

Three years of impact, growth, and community! It hasn’t always been easy, but we wouldn’t be here without the incredible support of our funders, board members, team, participants, donors, and partners.

Thank you for believing in our mission and helping us create meaningful change. We’re proud of how far we’ve come and even more excited about what lies ahead.

🎉 BIG NEWS! 🎉

We are incredibly honored to announce that we have been selected to receive a $15,000 capacity-building grant from The MATTIE Fund — Mindful Advocacy for Totally Transformative Inclusion and Equity!

This investment will strengthen our organizational infrastructure and deepen our impact in communities that have historically been underserved by the mental health system.

A heartfelt thank you to The MATTIE Fund and Dr. Alfiee for believing in our work and making this possible. We don't take this responsibility lightly.

✨We are grateful to the Arundel Bay Area Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc., for their generous donation during Mental Health Awareness Month. They are dedicated to raising the next generation of African American leaders while enhancing the lives of all children.

In December, the Arundel Bay Area Chapter celebrated 35 years of service with its Sneaker Ball and announced Black People Die By Su***de Too as one of the organizations selected to support through its philanthropic efforts.

Our Executive Director, T-Kea Blackman, attended the event wearing two crowns — quite literally. She was present not only as the leader of our organization, but also as the reigning Ms. Full-Figured National Capital Region Queen, representing her platform, From Pain to Purpose: Saving Black Youth from Su***de.

Their support will directly fund scholarships for the Black Mental Health Awards (BMHA), honoring current and future change-makers in Black mental health.

What began at their 35th Anniversary Sneaker Ball in December has now come full circle. This is more than funding; it is fuel for the next generation.
