The Dandelion Project

The Dandelion Project The Dandelion Project is dedicated to my children. Our "mission"- is to help grieving families DJ was 1 in 4. Quinn was 1 in 4. She was 18. Kerri was 26 years old.

The Dandelion Project's Mission Statement is: "To provide support, education and resources to those who have suffered losses, are raising grandchildren, educating our youngest victims and helping those struggling with mental health issues including Substance Use Disorder, navigate through trauma and recovery while spreading awareness and education throughout our communities." The Dandelion Project

was formed in memory of my three angels who guide me every day. DJ entered & left this world on November 7th, 1989. 1 in 4 children are lost due to infant & pregnancy loss. Quinn, my stepdaughter, but just as much "my daughter" died on September 23rd, 2015, from Anti-NMDA Receptor Encephalitis. 1 in 4 people die from this disorder. Then on January 19th, 2019, my life forever changed when my beautiful daughter, my best friend and "my hero" succumbed to her addiction, overdosing on he**in laced with fentanyl. Her story & its tragic ending are now something I share every chance I get. Kerri wanted to share awareness & promote empathy. I will finish that for her. Approximately 300 lives are lost every day to SUD. Kerri was one of those lives lost. But more needs to be done. I need that: something to honor all of my children - my angels. However, I also need to stay true to my purpose. And so The Dandelion Project took "root"....

“If you could tell your younger self one thing, what would it be?”
Sometimes the words we needed most can help someone else today.

"Sometimes the smallest gestures leave the biggest impact.”
A simple package.
A few comforting items.
A reminder that someone cares.
That’s the heart behind our bereavement boxes.

Seeds of remembrance continue to grow.

On Dandelion Day, The Dandelion Project launched a Virtual Remembrance Wall on our website—a place to honor and remember loved ones whose impact continues to live on in our hearts.
This wall is open to all losses. If you would like your child's name included, please complete the attached form. Names will be added regularly as they are received.
Thank you for allowing us the privilege of honoring your loved one's memory.
"Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts."

“Love doesn’t end with loss.”
Every name remembered.
Every story shared.
Every candle lit.
They matter. Always.
