‼️‼️VEGGIES NEEDED TODAY‼️‼️

It’s about that time again—we need veggies, we’re now running very low! Donations have slowed down significantly as you all know, and our piggies depend on us every day for fresh, healthy food. Sorry we’ve been so quiet, life has been chaotic so we haven’t been able to post or normal weekly donation posts!

Unfortunately, vegetable prices are constantly fluctuating, and it now costs around $200 for us to do a full restock. We’re hoping to make a veggie run tomorrow if possible, but we need your help to get there. Pellets and treats for the piggies can all be found on our Amazon Wishlist below!! We will be taking photos and posting everyone’s Amazon/Chewy donations that we receive (if you prefer we don’t, please let us know)!

If you’re able to donate, no amount is too small and every dollar goes directly toward feeding the guinea pigs in our care. Please send some angels our way so we can keep these sweet piggies happy, healthy, and well-fed.

🩷 WHO REMEMBERS THIS MOMMA PIGGY FROM OUR RECENT SHELTER PULL?! 🩷

Well, friends… we have a little update! 👀

We were pretty certain there were multiple litters among the piggies we rescued, and we were able to identify which babies belonged to Momma. But weeks later, this girl has become VERY pear-shaped! 🍐😳 YIKES… could we have MORE babies on the way?!

Although more piggies weren’t exactly in our plans, one thing is certain: they will be safe with us! We’ll keep everyone updated on Momma’s progress and let you know when it’s close to welcome the new little beanz into the world!

It’s incredible to see how far Momma and all the babies have come. Everyone is looking so healthy, and Momma’s coat is absolutely PHENOMENAL! 🥹❤️

On another note, we’re sorry we’ve been a little quiet this past week. We were hit with TWO colds back-to-back and are still recovering from the second one! 🤧💤 We’re slowly getting back on our feet!

Our rescue account is getting LOW, and lately, we’ve been going into the negative trying to cover utilities and rent for our piggies. 😞🐹

We currently have 80 precious guinea pigs between our sanctuary, fosters, and adoptable piggies who depend on us for their daily care. That means LOTS of veggies, hay, pellets, laundry, and bills! 💚

🎥 Here’s a little throwback video to one of the biggest rescue dumps we’ve ever taken on — our very first 15 pregnant females and 3 males. This rescue changed so many lives and was just the beginning of the journey that brought us to where we are today. 🥹💚

At Baby Beanz Guinea Pig Rescue, we stand in support of breast cancer awareness, the importance of early detection, and everyone whose life has been touched by this disease.

To those currently battling breast cancer, we’re sending you love, strength, and hope. To the survivors, we celebrate you. And to those who have lost their fight, you are remembered and will never be forgotten. Our thoughts are with your loved ones, too. 🕊️💕

As you can see, Baby Beanz Guinea Pig Rescue has been BUSY! We put so much time, love, and effort into saving and caring for these little lives, but rescue is also very expensive.

We are currently home to 60 guinea pigs who rely on us every single day for their veggies, hay, pellets, vet care, medications, supplies, and bonding treats. We are 100% donation-funded, so we truly need the help of our amazing followers and guinea pig community to continue saving lives and keeping our doors open

‼️ DUMPING GUINEA PIGS IS NEVER OKAY. ‼️

We have the sweetest update… Skeeter found his friend! 🩷

Skeeter and Cody came from two separate dump rescues. Both boys were abandoned and left to fend for themselves, but thankfully, they were given a second chance—and now they have each other!

We recently bonded these two boys, and they are doing AMAZING together! These little survivors are trauma bonded and already so comfortable with one another. Watching them go from being dumped to having a safe home, a friend, and a bright future is exactly why rescue matters. ❤️

Please remember: dumping an animal is never a solution. Guinea pigs cannot survive safely on their own and are vulnerable to predators, illness, injury, starvation, and the elements. If you can no longer care for your guinea pig, please reach out for help rather than leaving them behind.

🚨🐾 WE NEED TO BE THEIR VOICE. 🐾🚨

It’s heartbreaking that animals can still be sold as merchandise in pet stores and other retail settings while shelters and rescues across California and the country are overwhelmed.

Too often, animals are purchased on impulse without people fully understanding the responsibility that comes with them. Guinea pigs are especially affected. We see them improperly sexed, leading to accidental pregnancies and more babies. We see families surrender or dump them when they realize how much care they require. And we see rescues left trying to save the animals left behind.

And guinea pigs aren’t the only ones. Rabbits, birds, hamsters, mice, rats, reptiles, and countless other animals can find themselves in the same cycle. 💔

This cycle needs to change.

Animals are not products, decorations, or impulse purchases. They are living beings who deserve responsible homes and lifelong care.

❤️ ADOPT, DON’T SHOP.
Adopt from your local shelter or rescue. Support the rescues doing the work. Foster, donate, share, and educate when you can.

Every adoption gives an animal a second chance and creates space for another animal in need.

Be a part of the solution, not the problem.
We have to speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves. Be their voice. 🐾❤️

🩷🩷 HIGHLIGHT MOMENT FOR GWEN 🩷🩷

Gwen deserves her own highlight moment after yesterday’s rescue mission because she was the bait that helped save Skeeter! 😂

We set Gwen up under a cage top near where I was hiding, and she patiently munched away on her veggies while we waited for Skeeter to make his move. Something told me it was now or never, and I was determined to get that baby safely inside!

With Gwen doing her part, I was able to swoop Skeeter up with ONE HAND!

I know myself and Carolyn at Gardner's Pig Pen-Guinea Pig Rescue, were both losing sleep knowing this little guy was still out there alone. Sometimes it really does take a village — and apparently, sometimes that village includes a very cooperative guinea pig and a plate of veggies. 😂🩷

Gwen is a sanctuary piggy and is NOT available for adoption. She and I have a bond that runs incredibly deep, and honestly, being separated from me would absolutely devastate her. She’s my girl, and yesterday she helped me save another little life. 🥹🩷

Good job, Gwen. You’re officially a rescue mission MVP! 🏆

‼️‼️ DUMPED PIGGY UPDATE ‼️‼️

💚💚 MEET SKEETER! 💚💚

Meet the sweet boy we helped Gardner's Pig Pen-Guinea Pig Rescue, rescue! Skeeter was the last of 8 dumped piggies and clever enough to give Carolyn a serious run for her money! 😂 I stepped in and worked a little magic, and together we got him to safety! 🐹💚

It truly takes a village, and I LOVE seeing local rescues come together. Rescue isn’t about competing — it’s about saving lives! ❤️

We named him Skeeter because my son and I were out there well past dark getting eaten alive by mosquitoes! 😂🦟

Poor Skeeter is understandably terrified. He was hiding in razor-sharp blackberry bushes, but thankfully he only has a small cut on his ear that should heal easily. 💚
