Arafah - يوم عرفة - is tomorrow, Tuesday, May 26th.

On the Day of Arafah, be greedy in what you ask from Allah. Be bold in your du’as. Ask for what feels impossible. Ask with complete hope and certainty, because there is no day more powerful than this one.

Fast, increase in good deeds, give charity, and fulfill any pledges you’ve already made.

The Prophet ﷺ was asked about fasting on the Day of Arafah, and he said:

“It expiates the sins of the previous year and the coming year.”
(Sahih Muslim 1162)

May Allah accept from all of us and allow us to witness this blessed day with sincere hearts. آمين

Qurbani/Udhiyah

Allah SWT says in the Quran:

The Pilgrimage (22:28)
‎لِّيَشْهَدُوا۟ مَنَـٰفِعَ لَهُمْ وَيَذْكُرُوا۟ ٱسْمَ ٱللَّهِ فِىٓ أَيَّامٍۢ مَّعْلُومَـٰتٍ عَلَىٰ مَا رَزَقَهُم مِّنۢ بَهِيمَةِ ٱلْأَنْعَـٰمِ ۖ فَكُلُوا۟ مِنْهَا وَأَطْعِمُوا۟ ٱلْبَآئِسَ ٱلْفَقِيرَ ٢٨

so they may obtain the benefits ˹in store˺ for them, and pronounce the Name of Allah on appointed days over the sacrificial animals He has provided for them. So eat from their meat and feed the desperately poor.

‎(اعلان کن) تا شاهد منافع خویش باشند و در روزهای معلوم نام الله را بر ذبح چهار پایانی یاد کنند که الله روزیشان کرده است. پس از آنها بخورید و بینوایان و تنگدستان را نیز بخورانید

The Pilgrimage (22:37)
‎لَن يَنَالَ ٱللَّهَ لُحُومُهَا وَلَا دِمَآؤُهَا وَلَـٰكِن يَنَالُهُ ٱلتَّقْوَىٰ مِنكُمْ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ سَخَّرَهَا لَكُمْ لِتُكَبِّرُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ عَلَىٰ مَا هَدَىٰكُمْ ۗ وَبَشِّرِ ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ ٣٧

Neither their meat nor blood reaches Allah. Rather, it is your piety that reaches Him. This is how He has subjected them to you so that you may proclaim the greatness of Allah for what He has guided you to, and give good news to the good-doers.

‎هرگز گوشت‌ها و خون‌های قربانی‌ها به الله نمی‌رسد، بلکه تقوای شما به او می‌رسد، این چنین آنها را برایتان مسخر نمود تا الله را به خاطر آنکه شما را هدایت کرده است به بزرگی یاد کنید، و نیکوکاران احسان کننده را مژده بده

The Abundance (108:2)
‎فَصَلِّ لِرَبِّكَ وَٱنْحَرْ ٢

So pray and sacrifice to your Lord ˹alone˺.

‎پس برای (رضای) پروردگارت نماز
‎بگزار، و قربانی کن

Zaid bin Arkam reports that the Companions of the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him and give him peace) asked him: “O Messenger of Allah, what is this sacrifice?” He said: “It is the way of your forefather Ibrahim .” They asked: what (reward) is for us therein?” He replied: “There is a reward for every hair (i.e. the reward for meat and useful parts of the animal’s body will be very lofty in merit, but there will also be a great reward for the parts which are useless and thrown away such as the hair).” They asked: “For the wool, O Messenger of Allah?” He (Allah bless him and give him peace) replied: “There is one reward for every strand of wool.” [Ahmad; Ibn Majah]
