The Friends of the Oakley Library are proud to participate in the city of Oakley’s Juneteenth Ceremony.

Craft vendors and other non-profits will be open at 10:30am for the public to participate. The celebration will begin at 11:00am with performances, speakers, and more.

Everyone is welcome to participate and we hope to see you there!

The Friends of the Oakley Library is looking to fill a spot on its Board of Directors!
If you have been looking for a new way to give back to your community, this is a great opportunity to support the library. We are seeking a volunteer to serve as our Fundraising Chair for the nonprofit!

As Fundraising Chair, your responsibilities would include:
•researching fundraising opportunities (grants, business sponsorships, and individual donors)
•conducting email and phone outreach to potential funders
•brainstorming new funding sources
•working with the Friends Marketing/PR team on event planning,
•identifying and managing crowdfunding campaigns
•assisting with grant writing when needed

Whether you have a little time or a lot, we welcome your help as we work toward reaching our goals.

The Best of Oakley Reader’s Choice Awards is an annual competition in our community between businesses, non-profits, and service providers. Join us for the Oakley Day of Service on Saturday, April 25th at the Oakley Recreation Center 💙

The Friends of the Oakley Library will be participating in a donation drive along side the other wonderful non profits from our community. We will be collecting gently used children’s book & puzzles

All proceeds will support our upcoming book sale fundraiser to fund library programming. 📚🧩

Have gently used or new:
• Children’s books
• Completed puzzles
Bring them by our table and help us turn your donations into resources for our community!
