Sunshine Mobile Clinic Resource Fair at the Sunrise Health Community Connection Center in Lauderhill was an amazing event filled with resources, support, and community connection! 💙

It was wonderful to see families come together, receive valuable information, and connect with services designed to strengthen and support our community. Events like these remind us how important it is to uplift families, promote wellness, and create a caring village for everyone.

Thank you to Broward County Human Service Supervisor Dr. Joseph L. Wallace, MS, CLC, TSOL for inviting our Outreach Coordinator Adena Wilson to make a presentation to the HOST (Homeless Outreach, Shelter & Treatment) Taskforce Outreach Team. The HOST division provides street-based outreach, emergency shelter intake, rapid rehousing, and permanent supportive housing for individuals and families experiencing homelessness.

We ❤️Oakland Park and were thrilled to be invited to be a part of Oakland Park Library's Summer Reading Rollout. The event featured games, snacks, gift bags, a bounce house, a video gaming bus, and plenty of fun to help young readers start the summer strong. Our outreach coordinator Adena Wilson was on hand to let uninsured families know about our free medical services.

A HUGE thank you to the City of Oakland Park for not only organizing community volunteers to assemble and deliver 1,000 hurricane preparedness kits to Oakland Park's vulnerable residents - but for donating 100 kits to the LOTWC for us to share with underserved individuals and families in our area.

Light of the World Clinic continues to deliver measurable system-wide savings. By helping patients receive preventive and primary care, LOTWC generated an estimated $220,000 in savings to safety-net hospitals through reduced admissions last year, along with $137,500 in avoided emergency room costs.
