Happy 🎉

On this very special day, we had to post about our very special girl, Fable 📖

Although she looks like your average kitty, Fable was born with a cleft palate. Due to her cleft, Fable had to be tube-fed every single meal up until last week, when we were able to successfully wean her onto a raw diet. Fable is now doing incredibly well eating raw 💕

We are so proud of this girl and everything she has overcome! Fable is now available for adoption, and we are looking for a family that understands her cleft palate and the special long-term care she will require. If you are interested in adopting Fable, send us a DM 🐾

Within the span of 24 hours, we took in 16 (SIXTEEN) puppies!

The first litter came to us from Love Life Animal Rescue & Sanctuary, Inc. ; they are 11-week-old Lab-pitbull mix pups. These poor babies were being given away for free on Craigslist at just 4 weeks old. When Love Life Animal Rescue & Sanctuary, Inc. saw this, they jumped into action to get them to safety. As an animal sanctuary, they don't specialize in dog and cat adoptions, so they reached out to us for help.

The second litter came to us yesterday from Miami-Dade Animal Services, where they were brought in as orphans. These sweet babies are just a few days old and are being bottle-fed every couple of hours, around the clock.

With 16 puppies, we know we will be incurring a lot of costs over the next few weeks. Any donations toward these pups would be greatly appreciated!

All of the Lab-pittie mix pups are being sterilized within the next week, which will cost $2,000 in sterilization surgeries alone! Additionally, as quickly growing puppies, they are going through roughly $300 of food a week.

For our tiny neonates, we have already spent $575 on formula and will need to spend much more over the coming weeks so they can grow up strong and happy.

We are currently looking for adopters for our Lab-pittie mix pups and fosters for our tiny neonates. If you are able to foster, adopt, or donate, click the link in our bio or send us a DM!

Thank you all for helping us save so many little lives 💜

Meet Koala! 🐨

This silly, spunky girl is an Australian Cattle Dog mix who is searching for her forever family!

Koala is expected to be medium-sized once fully grown. She does great with other dogs and would love a family where she can have a doggy friend of her own.

Australian Cattle Dogs are high-energy working dogs, so potential families must be prepared to provide her with the daily exercise and mental stimulation she requires.

Koala has been microchipped, has received core age-appropriate vaccines, and will be sterilized prior to going to her forever home. If you are interested in adopting her, complete an application on our website or send us a DM! 💜

Meet Alvin, a tiny, adorable kitten!

Alvin is very playful and absolutely cannot get enough of his toys. If there’s something to chase, pounce on, or wrestle with, he’s there! When he’s not busy playing, he loves attention and soaking up all the love he can get.

We are currently accepting pre-adoption applications for Alvin while we wait for him to make weight for his neuter surgery. Don't miss the opportunity to welcome this sweet boy to your family! Complete an adoption application for him today at the link in our bio 🐾

Meet Blaze 🔥

Blaze is one of our fire station pups! She is a Pit Bull-German Shepherd mix and is expected to be medium-large once full grown.

She is a very sweet girl who does great with other dogs as well as kids. She is fairly high-energy and would do best with a family that can keep up with her and provide her with lots of enrichment.

Blaze is microchipped, vaccinated, and scheduled to be sterilized later this week. She will be ready to go to her forever home as early as this weekend!

If Blaze sounds like the girl for you, complete an adoption application from our website or send us a DM 🐾

Meet our Earthy Greens Litter! 💚

We took in this crew after they were brought to Miami-Dade Animal Services with ringworm. Ringworm, despite its name, is not a parasite—it's actually a fungal infection. Although it sounds scary, it is completely treatable, and pets are able to make a full recovery. These babies were treated with medicated dips and are now fully recovered and ready to be adopted!

All of these babies have been sterilized, microchipped, and are up to date on vaccines.

In order, we have:

🌲 Meet Pine, the cuddle bug! This boy will find you, cuddle in your lap, and purr himself to sleep. When his human isn’t available for cuddles, he will happily snuggle with his siblings.

🌿 Meet Fern, the social butterfly! Fern wants to be wherever her person is. She is a brave and curious girl.

🪴 Meet Sage, the sweetie pie! She is a playful girl who loves curling up to hang out with her person just as much as she loves a catnap near a sunny window.

🌳 Meet Forest, the shy but tender soul! Forest thrives when he’s with his kitty friends.

If you are interested in adopting one of these babies, please send us a DM or complete an adoption application using the link in our bio.

After having over 900 animals come through our rescue, it's official: we are running out of names!

We’ve let our friends, fosters, family members, and anyone else you can think of help us name our rescue pets, but litter by litter, it’s getting harder to come up with new ones.

That’s why we’re hosting our first-ever kitty name raffle! 🎉

Help us name these babies while raising funds to cover their food, vetting, and supplies while in our care.

The rules are simple: donate $2 for 1 entry, or $5 for 3 entries. Check out the link in our bio for more info and submit your name ideas today!

The raffle closes Sunday night (10/11) at 6:00 PM, and we’ll announce the winning names on Monday (10/12)

Meet Peppa 🐷

At just 2 years old, this sweet French Bulldog girl has already had 3 litters of puppies. It's a lot for us to wrap our heads around. Peppa has never had the chance to simply be a dog, and she's ready for a proper second chance.

Peppa was used for a purpose, bred to produce puppies for sale, and she was never allowed to be the center of anyone's world. Across her multiple litters, several puppies were born with cleft palates, including her most recent single puppy litter. When it became clear that she could no longer produce the puppies her breeders were hoping for, they made the decision to let her go. We're grateful they chose to reach out to us. By getting Peppa and her newborn son into rescue, they gave the pair a safe way out and a chance at a brighter future.

We also hope Peppa's story gives people food for thought. Behind the scenes, dogs like Peppa often carry a heavy load, and the choices people make to buy a puppy instead of adopting can make a real difference to girls like Peppa.

Peppa is currently on the mend from her c-section (Frenchies can't give birth naturally) and doing nicely with a short-term foster family. Meanwhile, her son, a little cleftie, is in the capable hands of an experienced tube-feeding foster.

Now we're looking for a foster or foster-to-adopt family to take over Peppa's care and give her a calm, loving home while she recovers. She does well with other dogs as well as cats! Foster families must be located in Miami-Dade or Broward County. If you are interested in fostering Peppa please send us a DM 🐾

It’s officially spooky season! 🎃👻

With Halloween right around the corner, we wanted to take a moment to clear up a major myth: black cats are not bad luck!

Unfortunately, because of superstitions, black cats routinely face lower adoption rates and stay in rescues much longer than other kitties. But anyone who has ever met a black cat knows the truth. Black cats are incredibly affectionate, playful, and just as deserving of a loving home!

Pictured here is Boo, one of our sweetest guys currently looking for his forever family 🐾

Boo is vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. If you are interested in adding him to our family send us a DM or complete an adoption application from our website. 🐈‍⬛

Meet Lieutenant! 🐾

This handsome guy is in search of his foster or forever home! He’s a Pit Bull/Shepherd mix and will be medium-to-large once fully grown. He’s been around dogs, cats, and kids, and he’s done wonderfully with everyone!

We’re looking for a foster family willing to commit to a minimum of 3 weeks. All supplies and vet care are provided!

Fun fact: Lieutenant is one of the Firehouse Litter pups! All four puppies are thriving and will be up for adoption very soon.

DM us today if you’re interested in fostering or adopting Lieutenant!
