Different badges, same mission. 💪 We are incredibly proud to share the highlight of this flawless multi-agency response and brag on EMT Vogel for her exceptional patient care during an unexpected field delivery! She was joined on the call by her partner, Aaron McGruer, a seasoned paramedic who brings years of invaluable experience to Sierra Ambulance and the Central California region. Teaming up with Madera County Sheriff’s Deputy (and former Sierra EMT 😉) Cody Gibson made this a perfect example of the strong camaraderie across our local first responder community.
We are so grateful for the addition of Kora to our mountain community family!

💕 A SPECIAL DELIVERY! 💕

When Deputy Gibson responded to a medical emergency near Highway 49 and Meadow Vista Drive on August 21, 2026, he had no idea he was about to help bring a new life into the world!

Upon arrival, Deputy Gibson found an expectant mother in active labor. With the nearest hospital approximately 45 minutes away, it was clear this little girl wasn’t going to wait!

With emergency medical services still en route, Deputy Gibson jumped into action and began assisting with the delivery. Sierra Ambulance EMT Vogel arrived shortly after and helped safely complete the delivery of a healthy baby girl! 💗

But the story doesn’t end there!
On September 2, Deputy Gibson had the opportunity to reunite with the family and officially meet Kora Evalynn, the little girl he helped bring into the world.

For Deputy Gibson, the experience was a special reminder of why he chose a career in law enforcement: “Getting to meet Kora and knowing she will grow up in a community that I protect and serve makes me proud to be a Deputy Sheriff in Madera County.”

Our deputies never know what the next call will bring, but sometimes the most memorable moments aren’t about making arrests or fighting crime. They’re about being there for our community during life’s most important moments.

Please join us in welcoming baby Kora to Madera County and recognizing Deputy Gibson and EMT Vogel for helping make her arrival a safe one! 💕🚔🚑

This month, we stand alongside everyone whose life has been touched by breast cancer. We honor the strength of survivors, support those currently facing their fight, and remember those we have lost.

Breast cancer awareness is about more than wearing pink — it’s about encouraging one another to be proactive, stay informed, and make our health a priority.
Take a moment this month to remind the women in your life to schedule their recommended screenings and to never ignore a change that concerns them.

From our Sierra Ambulance family to yours — we are standing with you.🩷
