We want to talk to you all about an incredibly important question coming across your ballot this
November and why YOU should vote yes to County Question #1

Preserving open space in our county does so much more than helping to protect the natural
world, it creates opportunities for us to enjoy it too!

Whether it be hiking, hunting, kayaking, fishing, or something in between – the fun and
connection to our natural world is only made possible by having permanently protected, open
spaces.

In fact, getting to enjoy the outdoors is one of the major reasons why people move to Ocean
county in the first place and now YOU have the opportunity to help create more to enjoy by
voting YES on November 3rd

Use your voice, make a difference!

We’ll see you at the polls!

🎣 FALL TROUT STOCKING INFORMATION 🎣

Beginning October 13, NJDEP Fish & Wildlife will stock approximately 29,000 two-year old Rainbow Trout, averaging 14-16 inches over a two-week period.

In addition to these trout, up to 1,000 Broodstock trout (three-year old Rainbow Trout, averaging 18-22 inches) will also be stocked. Broodstock trout are mixed in with each truckload of fish to provide exciting fishing opportunities throughout the state.

New regulations are in effect this season. The minimum size is 9 inches and the daily limit is 2 trout.

Any significant deviation from stocking will be noted on the 2026 Fall Trout Stocking Schedule. See the schedule here: https://dep.nj.gov/njfw/fishing/freshwater/trout-fishing-information/fall-trout-stocking-schedule/

All fall-stocked waters may be fished as soon as they are stocked. There are no “closed waters” during fall stocking.
