Words barely do it justice — but we'll try. 🎻✨

Saturday night at the Oak Ridge Symphony Orchestra was nothing short of magical. From the sweep of Festival Overture to the soul-stirring Bruch, and then Respighi's Pines of Rome painting soundscapes you could almost feel beneath your feet, every moment was a gift.

The encore? Earned every single second. The standing ovations? Absolutely deserved.

This is why live classical music matters. This is why we show up. And if you missed it, we promise, the ORSO will give you another reason to be back soon.

This February, we celebrate Florence Price a pioneering composer whose voice helped shape American classical music.
In 1933, she became the first African American woman to have her symphony performed by a major U.S. orchestra, breaking barriers with music full of warmth, dignity, and spirituality.
Her short work Adoration captures these same qualities, a serene, heartfelt meditation that offers a moment of deep peace amid this weekend’s vibrant program.

Hear it live with the Oak Ridge Symphony Orchestra this Saturday, Feb. 21, at FUMC Oak Ridge at 7pm
