The Oak Ridge Chorus is hosting its first-ever Cabaret Fundraiser at 201 Café Wine Bar, an intimate evening of extraordinary music across every genre, paired with a gorgeous 4-course dinner.

Featuring five of our finest: Joel Brown, Shauntina Collins, Liz Elliott, Kaitie Fernandez, and John Overholt, with Sarah Henrich at the piano.

📢 Notice of Proposed Bylaws Amendments — ORCMA Annual Meeting

Two proposed amendments to the ORCMA By-Laws will be presented for a ratification vote at our Annual Membership Meeting on Wednesday, June 18, 2026, at 5:30 PM. The meeting will be held at the ORCMA office, 106 Randolph Road (Grove Shopping Center), Oak Ridge, Tennessee, with remote participation available via Zoom.

Ratification requires a three-fourths majority vote of voting members present.

PROPOSED AMENDMENT 1 — ARTICLE 4.1(1): ELECTED BOARD MEMBERS

Current text:
Eighteen elected members, six of whom are elected annually for three-year terms by the voting members of the Association as defined in Article 2, Section 2.2, by voice or secret ballot (if necessary) at the Association's Annual Meeting, one vote per attending member. A quorum of all Association members is not required.

Proposed text:
Twelve elected members, four of whom are elected annually for three-year terms by the voting members of the Association as defined in Article 2, Section 2.2, by voice or secret ballot (if necessary) at the Association's Annual Meeting, one vote per attending member. A quorum of all Association members is not required.

PROPOSED AMENDMENT 2 — ARTICLE 4.3: BOARD SERVICE

Current text:
Members of the Board of Directors may volunteer for re-election to the Board for up to two additional three-year terms for a total contiguous period of service not to exceed nine years, as documented by the Secretary [Section 3.4(3)].

Proposed text:
Members of the Board of Directors may volunteer for re-election to the Board for up to two additional three-year terms for a total contiguous period of service not to exceed nine years, as documented by the Secretary [Section 3.4(3)].

To establish three permanent classes of four seats each coincident with the June 2026 transition to twelve elected members: four members shall be elected at the June 2026 annual meeting to standard three-year terms expiring in 2029 (Class B); two members shall be elected at the June 2026 annual meeting to transitional two-year terms expiring in 2028 (Class A); and two members currently serving terms expiring in 2027 shall be designated by board vote no later than September 2026 to transitional two-year terms expiring in 2028, also joining Class A. The four remaining members with terms expiring in 2027 shall continue as Class C. Transitional terms of less than three years served pursuant to this section, or partial terms served to fill a vacancy under Article 3, Section 3.2(9), shall not count toward the nine-year limit.
