Our startup fundraising is still lagging behind what we need to cover nonprofit liability insurance, student guitars, accessories, and a few other basic needs to help us get our veterans started.

If you are able to help with any amount, it would mean so much.

I can personally attest to the difference this work makes. Playing music with other veterans has brought connection, friendship, confidence, and joy into my own life in ways I did not expect.

Just yesterday, four of us, instructors and graduates, had the honor of playing a song at the wedding of another graduate as she walked down the aisle. That is what this program creates. Not just guitar lessons. Relationships. Trust. Love. Empowerment. Community.

Whidbey Island Veterans Guitar Alliance is building something truly worthwhile for local veterans, and we need help getting the foundation in place.

Whidbey Island Veterans Guitar Alliance (WIVGA) is growing, and we need helping hands.

WIVGA is building a healing music community for Veterans, and there are many ways to be part of it.

You don’t have to be a guitar player to make a difference.

We need people who can help with:

Board leadership
Fundraising
Guitar instruction
Community events
Music library organization
Social media and admin support
And other practical, behind-the-scenes help

Your time, skills, and heart can help create a place where Veterans find connection, confidence, and community through music.

We are an IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Oak Harbor, Washington.

WIVGA supports Veterans through free guitar lessons, weekly jam sessions, music, connection, and community.

Our mission is simple: to help Veterans experience camaraderie, confidence, and belonging through the shared power of music.

We are grateful for community support, donated instruments, volunteers, and local partnerships that help keep this work going.
