Brothers and Sisters,
Labor Day should never be treated as just another long weekend.
It exists because the working people who came before us organized, took risks, and demanded a better deal for themselves and their families. The labor movement changed what Americans could expect from a job, and union members continue that work every day.
We know what is at stake when workers lose their voice. Wages suffer. Benefits are cut. Safety takes a back seat. Decisions that affect our lives are made without us at the table.
That is why our union matters.
A strong union gives working people the power to demand respect, hold employers accountable, and fight for a better future for the next generation.
This Labor Day, we celebrate more than our work. We celebrate the strength that comes from standing together and the responsibility we share to keep that strength alive.
Thank you for your commitment to your union and to one another.
In Solidarity,
