As a reminder: there is NO union meeting this month. The International Convention starts this morning in Chicago. Please get the word out.

We will have two representatives from Benesys at the Novi Hall on September 2. They will be there from 8 am til 2pm. One rep is from the insurance department. The other is a pension rep. You may call in or show up in person. If you choose to call the number is 248-344-9494.
They used to come on two separate days. Hopefully this will be more convenient.

A positive step for workers and responsible contractors in Bay City. 👏

City commissioners voted 8-0 to give contractors who voluntarily pay prevailing wages a scoring advantage when bidding on city construction projects over $25,000.

Supporting contractors who provide fair wages and benefits helps strengthen our skilled trades, our communities, and the local workforce.

Good jobs build strong communities. 💪🏗️

The Michigan Building and Construction Trades Council North America's Building Trades Unions

The city commission voted 8-0 to give contractors who agree to pay prevailing wages a three-point advantage when bidding on construction projects worth more than $25,000.
