We are reposting that Mike Christensen is in need of 2 or 3 JIW to work for Tri Steel. YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING. Current stick papers, OSHA 30 or 18 modules. Subpart R within the last ten years. And a current drug screen. The project is the Hamilton Street mixed use development.  It starts June 1 and should last about two months. The schedule will be 5-8’s. This coming Wednesday, June 3 there will be a Representative from Benesys at the Novi Hall  to answer any pension questions you may have. You can call or come up to the hall between eight and noon. She comes the first Wednesday of every month.

A steel beam placed high above West Grand Boulevard this week marked more than a construction milestone for Detroit.

Henry Ford Healthofficially reached the highest point of its future 20-story patient tower, part of the health system’s massive $2.2 billion Destination: Grand expansion project that continues reshaping the area around New Center.

The new tower will include 432 private patient rooms, expanded intensive care units, advanced operating rooms, rehabilitation space, and technology designed to change how patients and care teams experience healthcare in the future.

Since breaking ground in 2024, crews have already installed nearly 10,000 tons of steel and more than 131 miles of piping throughout the site, with the full project expected to be completed by 2029.

For Detroit, projects like this reflect long-term investment in healthcare, infrastructure, jobs, and the future of the city itself.

We have the 125th anniversary merchandise available in the ICIF store at the Novi office. For $40 you can get the polo shirt in sizes large,XL and XXL. Add $20. We have a blue or red T-shirt in sizes medium through ###L. And for $60 we have a commemorative bottle of Woodford Reserve. The 125th anniversary logo is etched on the bottle and there is a drinking glass included. The store is open during regular business hours Monday through Friday. It is also open during membership meetings.
