NDWC•Eastern North Carolina had a spectacular turnout for their discussion of the NDWC Shared Read Fall 2026!

Two NDWC groups had virtual discussions recently of the Fall Shared Read “Theo of Golden.”

First, the NDWC•Mid-Hudson Valley group, who loved the simple kindness, Christian themes, and character development in this novel.

Next, the NDWC Mid-Atlantic region had 10 women from 6 different clubs in attendance. They had a great conversation and gave a thumbs up on the book choice.

The Asian Pacific Alumni of Notre Dame Board and the Chinese Culture Society are thrilled to invite alumni, students, friends & family to a short crash course on Mahjong! The event will be held virtually, and instruction will be led by Niki Lee '29, Co-VP of CCS.
Mahjong has been bringing friends and families together for generations. Emerging in 19th-century China during the Qing dynasty, this game of strategy, skill, and a touch of luck quickly grew into a beloved global tradition. Beyond the tiles, mahjong has long served as a vibrant cultural bridge, fostering community, conversation, and connection across generations.

We had a great Florida regional meeting this past weekend in Orlando with strong representation from Jacksonville, including: Brian Corrigan - Florida Regional Director, Mark Dobbertien - Senior Alumni Florida Regional Director, Chris Sukow - Greater Jacksonville Vice President, and Kimberly Hogan - Greater Jacksonville Young Alumni Coordinator.

Remembering and celebrating our loved ones who have passed. 🧡

Día de los Mu***os is a treasured celebration originating in Mexico that coincides with the Solemnity of All Saints (Nov. 1) and the Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed (Nov. 2). Families create altars—ofrendas—to remember and celebrate the lives of deceased loved ones. This is a time of rejoicing in the living memory of the deceased and finding hope in the promise of eternal life.

“I realized being around her meant being stronger.”

The summer after her freshman season, Mel Hathaway was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma. Through it all, her family and teammates continued to rally around her.

Now, she’s back on the pitch, playing the game she loves.

NDWC • St. Louis had 8 attend the Fall Shared Read discussion, including 2 new attendees, ranging from the Class of 1973 to 2010. All enjoyed the book, the acts of kindness, and the favorite character that received a portrait was Ellen.
