We are dedicated to discussion and education on the Israel-Palestine conflict, with a special emphasis on raising awareness about the Palestinian struggle for freedom.

Join us on March 30th at 6:15pm outside of the Main Building to say no to war! 🚫📢‼️

For years, we’ve witnessed the Israeli government commit a genocide in Gaza and resisted our University’s participation through investments in and partnerships with weapons manufacturers. Now, we see expanding imperial violence in Iran and Lebanon, carried out by the US and Israel. We resist increasing war, violence, and dehumanization throughout the world and renew the call for our university to divest from weapons manufacturers including Lockheed Martin, RTX, Boeing, and others.

Join us on March 30th at 6:15pm outside of the Main Building to come together in peaceful protest and call an end to endless war and violence and protest the University’s complicity in violence. Please bring your friends and a sign if you like— paper, poster, or cardboard only (no sticks) and no profanity.

Join SVP and campus partners on Monday for the conversation “Palestine is a Feminist Struggle.” Come to the Sojourner Truth Commons early at 3:30 to catch tea and an intimidate conversation with artist Mary Hazboun!
Mary Hazboun is a multidisciplinary Chicago based Palestinian artist who utilizes drawing as an act of processing grief and somatic healing of bodies. Graduated from DePaul University in 2017 with a Master’s degree in Women’s and Gender Studies. Mary’s work highlights the nuanced traumas of women and their resistance against different forms of oppression that is manifested in the military machine, settler colonialism, patriarchal societies, and forced migrations. She uses art as a way of emptying blocked emotions, opening internal space, and pouring in trauma-informed introspections as a form of healing. Mary was born and raised in the city of Bethlehem and moved to the U.S in 2004.
