Heart Screen New York’s next youth screening will be in the Seaford school district!

Heart Screen New York is proud to partner with Parent Heart Watch and screening organizations across 16 states for the 2nd Annual National Youth Heart Screening initiative on February 7th, 2026 to provide free heart screenings for youth age 12 - 25, and empower participants with lifesaving skills - including hands-only CPR and AED use.

What a meaningful way to begin ! Our 28th youth heart screening was held on Saturday, screening youth from the South Huntington School District. Thank you to our cherished volunteers who made it possible for us to provide free screenings for 252 youth and find 1 heart abnormality. Thank you to our host school Stimson Middle School and South Huntington School District for hosting us. Big ❤️ THANK YOU to our incredible 145+ volunteers, medical and professional staff, and CPR/AED instructors who continue to give so much of themselves at every screening. It was truly a day filled with pride and gratitude.

Stay tuned! Our next screening will be in the Seaford Union Free School District. We are excited to once again be partnering with Parent Heart Watch for the 2nd Annual National Youth Heart Screening Day on February 7, 2026.

Hoping Governor DeSantis signs this Bill into Law! The bill would require the Florida High School Athletic Association to adopt bylaws that require electrocardiograms (EKG) for all students participating, or seeking to participate in interscholastic sports. Florida would be the first state to implement a measure like this one!

Our 27th youth heart screening was held on National Youth Heart Screening Day ! Such a meaningful way to kick off . 301 youth screened, 5 requiring follow up to prevent . THANK YOU Old Field Middle School and Harborfields Central School District for hosting us. Big ❤️ THANK YOU to our incredible 125 + volunteers, medical and professional staff, and CPR/AED instructors who continue to give so much of themselves at every screening. It was a great day!
