đ We're sharing this again because Whitney and Wylie are STILL waiting. đ
The post below was originally shared before our adoption event on April 26th.
Since then?
Not one application.
Not one family asking to meet them.
Not one person saying, "I think they could be mine."
Whitney and Wylie are still sitting in the very same habitat.
Same adorable personalities.
Same loving hearts.
Just a little bigger.
And a little sadder.
Every day they watch other cats come and go. Every day they see families stop, smile, and move on. Every day they wait for someone to choose them.
When kittens first arrive in rescue, they're curious about everyone who walks by. They run to the front of the cage. They play. They hope.
But after months of being overlooked, something changes.
They stop expecting.
They stop hoping quite as much.
And that is the part that breaks our hearts.
Because Whitney and Wylie have done absolutely nothing wrong.
They're playful.
They're affectionate.
They're beautiful.
They're bonded best friends who have spent almost a year waiting for a forever home together.
A YEAR.
Please don't let them spend another season growing up in a habitat.

They deserve a home. â¤ď¸
Original post âšď¸
Join us this Sunday, April 26th, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Petco Huntington (839 New York Avenue, Huntington) and meet the kitties who are waiting for someone to truly understand themđđ
Have you ever walked into a room full of people you didnât know? Maybe a wedding where you only knew one person⌠sitting at a table with strangers, unsure, a little anxious, maybe even wanting to disappear. You feel those butterflies, that hesitation.
And then laterâyouâre back with your people. The ones who know you. You feel it instantly⌠relief, comfort, acceptance, love.
Thatâs exactly how Whitney and Wylie feel.
These two beautiful siblings, born around May 1st, 2025, needed time. Time, patience, and understanding from their foster momâand she was rewarded beyond measure as their true personalities slowly came to life. Beneath their shyness are sweet, playful, deeply loving souls.
Wylie has the cutest little quirkâheâll do a somersault while getting pets. They love watching the world from the window, snuggling together, playing, and quietly soaking in affection. And Whitney⌠once she feels safe, she will circle you, purring softly, asking for love. When you lay down, sheâll rest her head on your leg, roll onto her belly, and show you her whole heart.
But only when they feel safe.
They may not run up to you at the adoption event. They may hang back, unsure. But if you can see past that moment⌠if you can give them the time they need⌠you will be rewarded tenfold.
There is nothing more incredible than earning the trust of a shy, scared kittyâand one day, being greeted at the door by the same little souls who once hid away, now asking for your love.
Come meet Whitney and Wylie this Sunday. They just need someone willing to give them a chance â¤ď¸ Please share with anyone you think could be their hero- especially the shy ones đ
