💔 We're sharing this again because Whitney and Wylie are STILL waiting. 💔
The post below was originally shared before our adoption event on April 26th.
Since then?
Not one application.
Not one family asking to meet them.
Not one person saying, "I think they could be mine."
Whitney and Wylie are still sitting in the very same habitat.
Same adorable personalities.
Same loving hearts.
Just a little bigger.
And a little sadder.
Every day they watch other cats come and go. Every day they see families stop, smile, and move on. Every day they wait for someone to choose them.
When kittens first arrive in rescue, they're curious about everyone who walks by. They run to the front of the cage. They play. They hope.
But after months of being overlooked, something changes.
They stop expecting.
They stop hoping quite as much.
And that is the part that breaks our hearts.
Because Whitney and Wylie have done absolutely nothing wrong.
They're playful.
They're affectionate.
They're beautiful.
They're bonded best friends who have spent almost a year waiting for a forever home together.
A YEAR.
Please don't let them spend another season growing up in a habitat.

Because after almost a year of waiting, these sweet kittens deserve more than another day in a cage.
They deserve a home. ❤️

Original post ☹️

Join us this Sunday, April 26th, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Petco Huntington (839 New York Avenue, Huntington) and meet the kitties who are waiting for someone to truly understand them🙏💕

Have you ever walked into a room full of people you didn’t know? Maybe a wedding where you only knew one person… sitting at a table with strangers, unsure, a little anxious, maybe even wanting to disappear. You feel those butterflies, that hesitation.

And then later—you’re back with your people. The ones who know you. You feel it instantly… relief, comfort, acceptance, love.
That’s exactly how Whitney and Wylie feel.

These two beautiful siblings, born around May 1st, 2025, needed time. Time, patience, and understanding from their foster mom—and she was rewarded beyond measure as their true personalities slowly came to life. Beneath their shyness are sweet, playful, deeply loving souls.

Wylie has the cutest little quirk—he’ll do a somersault while getting pets. They love watching the world from the window, snuggling together, playing, and quietly soaking in affection. And Whitney… once she feels safe, she will circle you, purring softly, asking for love. When you lay down, she’ll rest her head on your leg, roll onto her belly, and show you her whole heart.
But only when they feel safe.

They may not run up to you at the adoption event. They may hang back, unsure. But if you can see past that moment… if you can give them the time they need… you will be rewarded tenfold.

There is nothing more incredible than earning the trust of a shy, scared kitty—and one day, being greeted at the door by the same little souls who once hid away, now asking for your love.

Come meet Whitney and Wylie this Sunday. They just need someone willing to give them a chance ❤️ Please share with anyone you think could be their hero- especially the shy ones 😊

💔 All 4 of her kittens found homes. Their mom is still waiting. 💔
Meet Stevie Nicks.
At just over a year old, Stevie should still be a kitten herself. Instead, she was busy raising four babies and doing everything she could to keep them safe.
She was rescued by Northport Cat Rescue Association after one of her kittens fell into a swimming pool in a kind woman’s backyard. Thankfully, the kitten survived, and Stevie and her little family were finally brought to safety.
Stevie was an incredible mom.
She protected her babies.
Loved them.
Put them before herself.
And one by one, every single kitten found a forever home.
But Stevie never did.
💔
Today, while her kittens are curled up in loving homes, Stevie is still waiting for someone to choose her.
The crazy thing?
She’s absolutely wonderful.
She’s silly, chatty, petite and affectionate, and full of personality. She’ll purr when you pet her, rub her head into your hand, and then dramatically flop onto her back with her paws in the air asking for belly rubs.
She loves toys.
She loves treats.
She LOVES other cats.
She even gets along with dogs.
In foster care, she even fell head over paws for one of her foster mom’s cats—and the feeling was mutual. 😻
Now all Stevie needs is a forever family... and maybe a new boyfriend too.

🖤🤍 Four tuxedo cats. Two bonded pairs. Almost a year of waiting. 🖤🤍

Every adoption event, they watch kittens go home.
They sit up a little straighter when families stop by.
They hope.
Maybe this is my day.
Maybe this is my family.
But then another kitten is chosen, and they remain behind.
After months of being overlooked, something changes in cats. They become quieter. They stop running to greet visitors. They begin to lose hope that anyone will ever choose them.
Our four tuxedo cats have been waiting nearly a year.
Nearly a year of watching other cats leave.
Nearly a year of wondering why nobody wants them.
The heartbreaking truth? There is absolutely nothing wrong with them.
They’re loving. They’re beautiful. They’re wonderful companions.
And because they are bonded pairs, they have something even more special: a best friend they love and trust.
This Sunday, we’re hoping someone will give them the chance they’ve been waiting for.

They lost their dad. They lost their home. Now they’re trying not to lose each other. 💔
Come meet Campy and Danny during the Shelter Shout Out filming! Pet Supplies Plus, East Northport
Wednesday, June 3
10:30 AM – 12:30 PM
Stop by and spend a few minutes with these sweet boys. Even if you can’t adopt, your visit could brighten their day more than you know.
Campy and Danny have survived loss, neglect, and tremendous change. Through it all, they have never let go of each other.
Now they’re hoping someone won’t let go of them. This is their story: ❤️
Every time we visit Campy and Danny, we find them the same way—curled up tightly together, seeking comfort in the only thing they have left: each other.
These 10-year-old bonded brothers story is one that will break your heart.
For their entire lives, Campy and Danny lived with an elderly owner who loved them deeply. But as the number of cats in the home grew, it became impossible for him to provide the care they needed. The boys went without regular grooming, veterinary care, and the attention they deserved.
Then tragedy struck.
Their owner passed away.
No one realized cats had been left behind.
When rescuers were finally called, the scene was devastating. Danny’s nails had grown so long they painfully curled into his paw pads. Torn bags of food were scattered throughout the home. Overflowing litter boxes told the story of cats who were desperately trying to survive after being forgotten.
Several rescues stepped in to help, and when Campy and Danny were found, they were huddled together, frightened and unsure of what would happen next.
Today, they are safe.
But they are still sad.
Still confused.
Still wondering where their person went.
They are currently staying at Pet Supplies Plus, 1960 Jericho Turnpike in East Northport, and every day they quietly sit together, watching people come and go.
They don’t ask for much.
Just a gentle voice.
A soft touch.
A little kindness.
And maybe, if they’re lucky, someone willing to give them a second chance.

ADOPTION EVENTS: WE WILL SHOWCASE KITTIES ALL WEEK THAT WILL BE AT EITHER EVENT BELOW:

MEET LULU❤️
She fought a raccoon to save her babies. Now she’s waiting for someone to save her. 💔
At just over a year old, Lulu should still be a kitten herself. Instead, she was living outside, struggling to keep her four tiny babies alive.
One day, a homeowner witnessed something incredible: a raccoon was attempting to attack Lulu’s kittens, and this brave young mama put herself directly in harm’s way to protect them. She refused to back down.
The scar above Lulu’s eye is a permanent reminder of the battles she’s fought and the sacrifices she’s made for her family.
Today, her kittens are safe, healthy, and thriving.
But Lulu is still waiting.
Waiting for someone to notice her.
Waiting for someone to look beyond her scar.
Waiting for someone to finally choose her.
Despite everything she’s endured, Lulu remains incredibly sweet, affectionate, and gentle. She loves other cats but would do best in a home without dogs.
Lulu is spayed, fully vaccinated, litter box trained, microchipped, and FELV/FIV negative.

Lulu spent her young life protecting everyone else.
Isn’t it finally time someone protected her?

WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

You’re driving home after a long day.
You’re tired. Your family is waiting for you.
Then, at a stop sign, you notice something out of the corner of your eye…
A small pet carrier sitting on the side of the road.
Cars behind you honk, so you keep driving.
But the thought won’t leave your mind.
What if something was inside?
Thankfully, one incredible woman — a former adopter of ours — went back. ❤️
She and her son walked all the way back to the exact spot where she had seen the carrier.
As they got closer, they heard it.
A tiny meow.
Inside, abandoned in the scorching heat, was a beautiful cat.
Taped to her carrier was a handwritten note:
“Please look after me.”
There were also a black beaded cross attached.
No food.
No water.
No idea how long she had been sitting there terrified and alone.
The moment Mittens got to safety, she drank water desperately…
And then she purred.
She stretched out for pets.
She trusted.
Despite everything that happened to her, Mittens is unbelievably loving, gentle, affectionate, and sweet. She truly is a beautiful soul.
And as if she wasn’t special enough already… Mittens has a little white heart-shaped patch of fur on her belly. 🤍 A tiny reminder that even after heartbreak, her heart is still full of love.
There were so many safer ways this could have been handled, and the SPCA has been contacted regarding this heartbreaking abandonment.
But somehow, Mittens found her way into the path of kindness.
Now we need your help to find her the forever home she deserves.
We want the rest of Mittens’ life (she is only 4 years old) to be filled with soft beds, sunny windows, love, safety, and people who will never leave her behind again.
Because despite everything, Mittens holds no grudges.
She is simply spectacular. ✨
Please share her story. Let’s help this little angel get the happy ending she deserves. ❤️
