Morning Blessing

May this morning bring you joy,
wherever you are,
and however heavy your heart may feel.
May you remember that
even the longest night
cannot keep the dawn
from finding its way across fields,
through cities,
and into the quiet corners of human lives.
May you discover that hope
is often like water beneath the earth,
moving unseen through the roots of things,
quietly sustaining life
until the season changes.
And if today feels too difficult
to carry all at once,
may you be given only the next step,
and then the next,
and then the next.
For this morning does not tell you
to cross the whole distance.
It offers you a single ray of light,
a single breath,
a single beginning.
And sometimes,
that is enough to change everything.
