Mercy Rescue Adoption

Mercy Rescue Adoption Our page is to spread the word for animals in need. Please assist with that by sharing our posts! Some total more than 1000-2000.

All of our pets for adoptions must go to homes that are committed to providing a loving environment for the animal's lifetime. Adding a pet to your home takes commitment and understanding that the animal you bring in will be yours forever. All of our adoptions will be spayed/neutered before you take them home. Before you contact us to adopt please make sure you are able to commit the time and mone

y it will take to care for a new pet. Adoption fees vary:
Remember we are doing this to help offset and pay for spay/neuter and veterinary costs which can range from 100.00 to 500.00 depending on the animal's needs and conditions when coming into rescue. Adoption costs vary depending on medical situation and cost to care for the animals in our rescue. All adoptions are spayed/neutered and vaccinated before placement and a home visit and references are required. Please e-mail all questions about adopting before you call. We have a limited amount of volunteers that also work full time jobs. Our animals are looking for indoor homes. We have spent time and energy training them and will help in any way to make a smooth transition to their new home. We will not adopt to homes that will be chaining out or kenneling their pet. Please don't take offense and feel free to look at other rescues that allow this.

🦝🦨🦌🐿️ HELP US KEEP SAYING “YES” TO WILDLIFE! 🐢🦇🦦

Right now, Lakota Haven Wildlife Rehabilitation has 85 opossums in care, plus raccoons, skunks, squirrels, fawns, and more babies arriving almost daily.

The truth is… we are running out of space.

As these little ones grow, they need larger outdoor enclosures to learn the skills they’ll need before release. Without them, our ability to continue taking in wildlife becomes limited.

💚 Our goal is to raise $1,500 for additional outdoor enclosures.

Instead of just asking for donations, let’s play a game!

👇 COMMENT BELOW:
If you could be any wildlife species for one day, what would you be and why?

🦦 Otter?
🦨 Skunk?
🦝 Raccoon?
🦌 Deer?
🐿️ Squirrel?
🐢 Turtle?

We’ll randomly pick one comment to receive a Lakota Haven shoutout!

Every comment helps boost this post and helps more people see our mission. If you’d like to help us reach our enclosure goal, donation links can be found in our Linktree.

Every enclosure means more room.
More room means more rescues.
More rescues mean more second chances.

❤️ Thank you for helping us continue to say “YES” when wildlife needs us most.

If you would like to donate to the enclosure cost please check out the linktree where our PayPal, Venmo, CashApp and also a platform for debit/credit card transactions!

UPDATED: Indiana spay neuter transport dates and locations for June 2026. Please note that some of our transport locations have changed locations/times. We have also added new transport locations to our calendar! To schedule your cat or dog for a surgery, please call our transport line at 317-675-0072 and leave a message. You can also visit our website at www.lowcostspayneuterindiana.org to complete an online submission form to start the appointment process. When you go to our website, you have to choose the transport button and "schedule transportation;" otherwise, you will be directed to choose between our Brownsburg or Noblesville clinics.
We do not transport for vaccines only; however, vaccinations can be done at the same time as a spay, neuter, or dental. We do not require an appointment for feral cats; therefore, you can bring up to 2 feral cats per day per person. Please keep in mind that for some transports we are booking out several months. Follow our page and website to stay updated on new and upcoming transports! We look forward to caring for your pets!
