NEED A STAIR LIFT BUT CAN'T AFFORD ONE? YOU MAY HAVE OPTIONS!

At Stair Lift for Vets, our mission is to help veterans regain their independence and remain safely in the homes they love.

We do everything we can to help through donated stair lifts, but we can't always provide free installation for every veteran who reaches out.

That doesn't mean you should stop looking for help. ❤️

Did you know there are other programs that may help eligible veterans and their families with home accessibility costs?

🏠 VA Adapted Housing Grants: Veterans with certain service-connected disabilities may qualify for assistance with home modifications, potentially including stair lifts.

🇺🇸 VA Prosthetic Services: Ask your VA health care team whether medically necessary mobility equipment may be available.

♿ Medicaid Home Accessibility Programs: Some state Medicaid waiver programs may help eligible individuals pay for accessibility modifications.

❤️ Local Community Programs: Area Agencies on Aging, veteran service organizations, and home-repair nonprofits may know of additional assistance.

Visit VA.gov and ask about adapted housing benefits, or speak with your local VA representative.

You can also contact the Eldercare Locator at 800-677-1116 to find programs in your community.

Today, on Purple Heart Day, we honor the courageous men and women who were wounded or made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country.

But honoring our veterans must go beyond recognition. It means being there when they need us at home.

This Week We Remember. This Week We Give Back.

This week, our nation honors the courage, sacrifice, and legacy of the men and women who have defended our freedom. As we reflect on these important military observances, we are reminded that supporting our veterans is not just something we do on holidays. It is a commitment we make every day.

This week we honor:

National Korean War Veterans Armistice Day (July 27)
We remember the brave Americans who served during the Korean War and those who never made it home. Their courage and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

🐎 National Buffalo Soldiers Day (July 28)
We recognize the extraordinary legacy of the Buffalo Soldiers, whose service, perseverance, and dedication helped shape our nation's military history.

✝️ Army Chaplain Corps Anniversary (July 29)
For more than 250 years, Army Chaplains have provided faith, hope, guidance, and support to our Soldiers and their families through times of war and peace.

Today, many veterans continue facing challenges long after their military service ends. Something as simple as climbing a flight of stairs can threaten their independence and safety.
