Meet Tuxie, a beautiful one-year-old tuxedo who is just as sweet and refined as her namesake. Tuxie is a gentle, sensitive soul who is looking for a furever home to help her navigate the world.

She might be a bit of a wallflower at first, but underneath that shy exterior is a girl who just wants to be near her person and feel like she belongs. She is seeking a quiet, predictable home where her family can shower her with affection and help build her confidence.

Tuxie would be happiest in an adult-oriented home (kids 12+ please) without dogs, as she prefers a peaceful environment. She can be your "one and only" if someone is home often to keep her company, though she would also do well with another calm feline friend.

We want to be very transparent about Tuxie's health so she finds the perfect match. Tuxie has been diagnosed with feline asthma (lower airway disease). While this sounds a bit technical, it essentially means she has a wheeze and some eye drainage that will be a part of her life. The great news is that with a little bit of mindful care, it isn't expected to shorten her lifespan or change her sweet quality of life. She just needs a family who is comfortable with her diagnosis and ready to provide a low-stress, smoke-free environment.

If you have plenty of love to give and a quiet corner of your heart for a special girl, Tuxie is waiting to meet you! You can meet her by making an appointment at www.caringforcatsmn.org/adopt.

Meet Oliver and Lily: The Socialite and His Shadow
Oliver and Lily are 8-month-old siblings who offer the best of both worlds. Oliver is a handsome, high-energy boy who wants to be right in the middle of the action. He is a professional lap-warmer with a soft purr, though he can sometimes get a little over-excited when he's having too much fun!

Because he can occasionally give a little "love nibble" when overstimulated, his adopters should be familiar with cat body language. You might also notice a unique little dark speck in his right eye--it just adds to his handsome look!

While Oliver is the social butterfly, tiny Lily is his quiet shadow. Having spent her early months as a stray, she is very timid and looks to Oliver for comfort.

To help them both succeed, they need a calm home environment. If there are children in the home, they should be at least 12 years old and know how to respect a cat's boundaries. They would likely be okay with a gentle, cat-friendly dog or calm resident cat. A busy or loud household would be overwhelming for Lily and might stunt her progress in trusting people.

With a patient family and Oliver to show her the ropes, Lily will feel safe enough to let her own gentle spirit shine. To meet this special pair, make an appointment at www.caringforcatsmn.org/adopt.
