Grandma's Coats for Kids We are a charitable organization providing new or gently used winter apparel for School Dist. 622 This was such a special day and one that I will never forget.

Kay's Story: I grew up in a rural Minnesota community during the 1940's. As a child I remember people remarking that "times were tough." However, I was quite fortunate to have had the grandmother who helped provide our family with some of life's necessities. One of my fondest memories of her was the fall shopping trip to purchase a new winter coat. As a grandmother myself and lifelong resident of

the North St. Paul area I was inspired to try in some small way to provide a warm coat to a child in need. Thus, the beginning of Grandma's Coats for Kids. Our organization relies on donations from the local community. We accept new and gently used coats and outerwear as well as cash donations.

Grandma’s Coats is back at it, and gearing up for our Grandma’s Coats day on Oct 24th at Casey Park.
So many families have struggled throughout the COVID pandemic and now with recent trends in inflation.
This has aggravated existing financial hardships and disparities even more.
For those reasons, the need is far greater than past years, and has more than doubled! We hope to be distributing around 640 coats this year to the entire 622 School district.
We are beyond thankful for our continued support from the Regan family, Premier Bank, and all others who have donated coats to our cause. We could not continue our mission without you❣
