Your Maplewood North Lions Club celebrated a gorgeous weather morning by putting in some work to clean up Joy Park. We were joined by the Mobosi family and Abbie Stangl and we thank them all for joining us.

American Diabetes Association Tour de Cure 2026 featured four rest stops in total. The Maplewood North Lions Club had two of them covered, a Lions Club from Minneapolis covered a third and the other is unknown, but we all served

Shoutout to Maplewood North Lions Club members Joan and Mark who volunteered again this year again to team up with our White Bear Lake Lions Club friends to build beds for youths.
In all, 40 beds were made today and that = a lot of deserving children having a comfy place to sleep.

Patriotic Kenny was one of Maplewood North Lions Special Guest Speakers, sadly Kenny Jary has passed away from lung cancer. Our condolences go out to his family and friends along with the millions of followers. Kenny was a Navy Veteran and was in need of a mobility scooter, a gofundme was set up to get him one and they raised over 300,000 so they started Patriotic Kenny Foundation so other vets could get a mobility scooter without all the red tape, Greg Pluff a Navy Veteran saw the Lions post about Patriotic Kenny and asked a member of the Lions to sponsor him to get a scooter, 🛵 his name was picked along side other veterans to receive a new mobility scooters. Maplewood North Lions are sponsoring this Friday's Relay for Life at Tartan High School. We'll be walking the relay, hosting a vendor table and there will be a special "roar like a Lion" lap. The opening ceremony is 6 p.m. followed by the Relay until 10 p.m. Feel free to join us for a lap or more.

We also have a Roaring Lions fundraising team. Your donation will help in the fight against cancer.
