“Long-term change is going to depend on communities being the solution,” says Sue Cagle, Grafton County's Economic Development Specialist. “Sandwich is different from Nashua is different from Berlin,” she said in a recent article about the Housing Academy.

Not only does the Academy help officials identify solutions, it also equips them with strategies for building support among their neighbors. In addition to learning about the technicalities of zoning and the housing market, Academy participants learn about engaging with neighbors and having difficult conversations about community change.

Read the full article on our webpage.

The problem of housing costs exists across the state but the reasons behind it vary from town to town. The Housing Academy helps partnering communities to identify the bottlenecks in their policies and craft possible solutions.
