🌟Last minute openings in our Sprouts Program! 🌟

"There is no description, no image in any book that is capable of replacing the sight of real trees, and all the life to be found around them, in a real forest." -Dr. Maria Montessori

At the Lilliputian School we take great pride in the learning environments we create for our children. Drawing on the best of Montessori philosophy and spending much of our days outdoors in our play space and forest classroom, we feel fortunate to offer an early childhood experience that is both child-led and deeply connected to nature.

As a TimberNook Certified School and local provider, all students have the opportunity to experience the TimberNook program as part of their time at The Lilliputian School!

Teachers are advocates...

Through their personal knowledge, experience, and passion for play-based learning, teachers connect with colleagues, parents/caregivers and the community to share the values that guide decisions about early childhood education.

We advocate for play-based learning because we know through research that play allows young children to connect with and make sense of their world. Play is the work of the child. Through play, children develop essential skills such as collaboration, communication, critical thinking, and creative innovation. Play builds confidence and also supports social-emotional development.

Teachers are storytellers...

Storytelling creates a powerful sense of connection. It’s one of the oldest forms of communication used to share experiences, deepen understanding, and bring people together through moments of entertainment and meaning. In early childhood, storytelling...

🌻Supports cognitive development.

🌻Encourages creativity and imagination.

🌻Promotes cultural understanding.

🌻Teaches children about themselves.

🌻Supports early literacy skills.
