Starting a brand new group comes with some of the most rewarding moments and some of the most challenging ones.

With 12 kids ages 8 to 14 starting at the same time and working their way from recruits to Privates, we’ve been building something special together. Each Young Marine brings their own unique strength to this unit, and today we want to recognize this group for stepping up.

On short notice, they accepted the challenge, stayed coachable, and successfully carried out the opening ceremony for the North Bend Youth Baseball League. That’s something to be proud of.

We were also fortunate to connect with a Marine veteran who took time out of their day to share knowledge, tips, and guidance. That kind of support makes a difference.

People say “practice makes perfect,” but we believe practice makes improvement. Perfect is a big word and no one is perfect. These kids met multiple days of the week and practiced to become better rather then hanging with friends or playing games. That’s some true dedication!

Did we mess up? Yes.
Did we get frustrated? Yes.
Did we show up and finish the mission? Absolutely with confidence!

And that’s what matters.

We will continue to grow, learn, and improve every single day. We can only move up from here!

🇺🇸 Support North Bend Young Marines! 🇺🇸

March 27–29, our North Bend Young Marines are heading out on a camping trip focused on leadership, teamwork, and survival skills

We have 18 Young Marines and 5 volunteers attending, and while we’ve worked hard to raise funds, we’re still in need of donations and sponsorships to make this experience possible.

During camp, our youth will be:
✔️ Cooking their own meals
✔️ Learning survival skills
✔️ Fishing (many for the first time!)
✔️ Hiking & physical training
✔️ Tie-dye & paracord making
✔️ Team-building activities & more
