🐾 Pixie’s Monday Musings: Big Hearts & Big News! 🐾
"Hi everyone, Pixie here! 👋 I’m a 3-year-old Dachshund / Miniature Pinscher mix, and the rescue crew let me be the Voice of the Pack this morning. I might be a little small, but they told me I have the perfect stage presence for today's announcement!

The main center is closed today so our hard-working humans can catch their breath (and hopefully give me some extra belly rubs), but that doesn't mean the matchmaking stops! If you’ve been scrolling through our page and locked eyes with me, or any of my awesome adoptable buddies like Harlow, Thor, Shaggy, Eeyore, or Axel... you can still take the first step today!

The absolute best way to get on our calendar is to call or text the rescue team to schedule an official meet-and-greet.

​The weather out here on the Oregon Coast is absolutely beautiful today—perfect for a full-body leaning cuddle session in the sun! Because it's so nice out, we let Eeyore take over the keyboard to give you the weekly scoop for the pack. Take it away, big guy:

​"Hey everyone, I'm Eeyore. I’m a 116 lb big old bundle of couch-hogging affection. I can be a little sensitive to new things, but I'm a master at loving my people.

​The weather out here on the coast is beautiful today, and while I'm soaking up the sunshine, I'm looking out the window with the rest of the pack wondering... is it our turn to find a forever couch?

​Just a heads up from the crew: The rescue is closed on Sundays and Mondays! 🚫

​Even though the doors are locked today and tomorrow, our bags are packed and our tails are on standby! When the staff gets back, we operate strictly by appointment. This keeps operations running smoothly and safely while giving you and us full, undivided attention. So let’s get you on the schedule to come meet us!"

🐾 Let’s Welcome Our New Arrivals – The Country Music Clan! 🎶

Mama: Jazzman

Jazzman and her 9 Pit mix puppies arrived yesterday at just 24 hours old.

These sweet babies were born in a homeless camp here in town. Jazzman’s owner reached out for help, and we agreed to take in the puppies as long as we could also bring Mom along to help care for them and get her spayed. Once the puppies are weaned and Jazzman has recovered from her spay, she will be returning home to her owner. The nine precious puppies, however, will be looking for forever homes when they are old enough.

There are 7 girls and 2 boys, and they are absolutely beautiful. They come in a wide variety of colors and, while they appear healthy, they are on the smaller side. According to the owner, Dad is a brindle Pit, which may explain some of the gorgeous coloring we’re already seeing in the litter. Jazzman originally gave birth to 11 puppies, which is a huge litter for a 50-pound dog. Sadly, not all of the puppies survived, but these nine little fighters are doing well so far.

Jazzman is proving to be an incredible mother. She is attentive, protective, and devoted to her babies. For now, the family is staying at our home where they can have peace and quiet during these critical first few weeks. Mama is keeping a close watch over her little ones and making sure they have everything they need.

Please remember that these puppies are not yet available for adoption, but we are excited to watch them grow and share their journey with all of you.
