Coos County Bay Area Dog Park A small group of people who for years have been trying to get a dog park in the North Bend/Coos Bay area. As of 10/15/2018 Success!!! in North Bend

This is a community dog park and run by volunteer users. Please make it fun for all, clean up after your pets, follow the posted rules. We have waited a long time for a dog park in this area, lets make sure we all contribute to making it safe and secure.

Sad to say nothing new on the search for a new dog park. Every lead has resulted in a dead end.

Park is currently closed due to condition issues…so much rain has made it soggy and difficult to use. PLUS, our volunteer cleanup crew has quit, due to people dumping their garbage, used cat litter and other trash in the cans which are for p**p bags only!!! These people, who were mostly older and/or disabled gave their time to keep the area clean for everyone to enjoy.

Get your pet photos with Santa at The Friends of Coos County (FOCCAS) Santa Paws event this coming Saturday. Come meet Wild Thang (the world's ugliest dog). Raffle tickets $1 or 6 for $5 for a cat tree basket, a dog basket or a cranberry sweets basket. All proceeds help animals in our community..picture and more info, click on link in previous post.

Our volunteers need help, removing the garbage and taking it to the designated Dumpster. If you can help, comment here or on the group page and Mona will contact you.

And, remember the trash can is NOT for your personal home or vehicle trash. Dog p**p and garbage only!!
