To those who believe that the show, The Chosen, is an abomination or a contradiction to the Scriptures… here is my reply to such NONSENSE:
Sadly… the people or persons who are proclaiming such nonsense are either blind or are completely ignorant on so many levels. If it were an abomination… then WHY… has literally thousands and thousands of people given their lives to Christ because of it.
Lives have been transformed … thousands of lives… people rededicating their lives back to Christ. I, myself, have been ONLY brought into a deeper understanding and relationship with Jesus because of this show.
Those who rebuke it or mislabel it are either anti-Christ… haters of Christ or people who THINK they know the Bible… and maybe they do… but they don’t KNOW Jesus.
There is a HUGE problem in the church right now in our time of history. There is a ton of head knowledge about the Scriptures… but the wisdom of Jesus… the love of Jesus… the grace, mercy and forgiveness of Jesus… has not entered their hearts. The connection is not there. Those who rebuke such a gift as The Chosen… most likely do not have an intimate relationship with Jesus and are more closely related to the Pharisees and the religion that Jesus rebuked in them.
They are more concerned about following their legalistic religion… which, btw, is why Jesus ripped into the Pharisees so much, than they are about what God desires… mercy, love, faith, goodness, kindness, obedience and the willingness to sacrifice and surrender your heart to Jesus. The Pharisees couldn’t even see the miracles that Jesus was doing… which no man had ever done… right in front of them… but were more concerned about the laws He was breaking according to the rules and laws that man had made from the original 12 Commandments that God created for us.
The Chosen is easily the MOST BEAUTIFUL show I have ever seen. I have literally cried in almost every episode I have seen. My soul crushed from the truth of who Jesus is… my heart overflowing from the truth of what is being displayed… my life filled with the blessings of what this show has done and keeps on doing. Why would over 500 million people have watched it? Why would sooo many people be supporting it? This show has now been translated into 160 different languages all over the world.
If this show was an abomination…. God himself… would have bombed it and wiped it off the face of the earth. I promise you that. It would not have gotten off the ground.
Miracle after miracle has happened on this show. Go and Google the miracle of the fish on the Chosen. It is amazing what happened.
My wife and I have personally been on set now three times. I have seen their passion… their love… their dedication to get this right. Yes… there is some additions to the stories from the Bible which they make clear that they have done… but they are NOT taking anything away from what the Bible says. They go to extreme measures to make it solid from the Word of God. But to tell the stories… they bring a bit of their own story telling to make it relevant and interesting. And it does NOT contradict the Bible in any way… that I have seen.
I am extremely a**l about anything that is not truly spot on and biblical. If I find a fault or a problem with what is being shown or said… I would instantly walk away. But I have found nothing to contradict the Word of God. The show is exactly what it needs to be. Especially for a time like this in our history. A time like what we are seeing now… every day. The days are evil. And God is watching. We are living in the times like the days of Noah. And this show is just one of many ways… that God is trying to wake us up before it is too late.
To those who proclaim and judge this show biblically inaccurate or an abomination… they are simply blind and ignorant. They are judging through eyes of scales. Their hearts are hardened and are allowing the things of man to control them than the things of God.
The answer is in the results of what is happening to the people who watch it. Thousand of testimonies… even some of the actors themselves have become Christians because of this show they are acting in.
I would not endorse this show so heavily… if I had sensed at all… the Holy Spirit was convicting me of it.
And lastly… I would say this… To those who would rather listen to a man… tell them what he thinks of this show… than to watch it themselves… They are looking for a simple way out. They do not want to be convicted of the sin or lifestyle they are currently living. This show will convict you. It will crush you from the truth within. But it will transform you… to let down your guard… and let Jesus in. This world only wants to devour… to destroy… and kill.
Jesus wants to give us all a beautiful life while we are here. And eternity in heaven when we are done. That is my Jesus. And to Him… will He receive ALL THE GLORY!!
