✅ Help line up cars in the staging area

This year the Snoqualmie Valley PTSA Council had 22 students whose works were selected to compete at the state level. Of those 22, three were given WSPTA recognition for being in the top three entries statewide in their category and grade division. Two of those advanced to compete nationally, including one that received the national Outstanding Interpretation Award (first place nationally among all high school visual arts entries).

Mount Si High School student Celena Zhang’s artwork, "Outside the Glass," was selected from over 900 student submissions from 42 state PTA congresses to receive the Outstanding Interpretation Award. Celena will receive a gold medallion, an $800 Young Artist Scholarship, and a certificate from National PTA. In addition, the MSHS PTSA will receive $200.

In addition, MSHS freshman Ibrahim Malik received an Award of Merit from Washington State PTA for his music composition "Sonata Fleotendra." (Third place in Washington State for all high school music entries.)

These are extraordinary accomplishments, and we are so proud of our young artists!

Has your senior registered for Grad Night yet? 🎓✨

Grad Night is an annual, all-night, all-inclusive celebration for the Class of 2026 — giving our graduates the chance to celebrate together in a fun, safe, and sober environment after graduation.

The cost is $259 and includes transportation, activities, entertainment, and food for the entire evening — no extra spending money needed.

To keep the night exciting (and secure), the locations and activities are kept secret until the event. All venues are carefully vetted by a professional Grad Night company before being selected by the MSHS PTSA Grad Night Committee.

For details and registration, visit https://mshsptsa.givebacks.com/w/seniors.

We believe every Mount Si graduate should have the opportunity to attend regardless of financial circumstances. Scholarship information is available by contacting the MSHS PTSA at [email protected].

Grad Night is less than a month away, and we urgently need adult volunteers to help make this special tradition possible for our seniors. Without enough volunteers, we will be unable to hold the event.

Grad Night provides graduates with a fun, safe, and memorable way to celebrate after commencement on Thursday, June 11, and there are several easy ways to help: checking students in at ShoWare Center after graduation, chaperoning part of the evening at one of the event venues, serving as a blackjack dealer during casino activities (training provided), or riding along as a bus chaperone throughout the night.

Most shifts are only a few hours, food and drinks are provided, and it’s a great opportunity for both senior and underclassmen parents to support our students and help create one final unforgettable night together.

If you’re able to volunteer or would like more information, please visit bit.ly/mshs-gradnight26. Thank you for helping us keep this important tradition alive for the Class of 2026.

We're so proud of Celena and her amazing artwork!

We're so proud of Celena and her amazing artwork!

🎉Congratulations to Celena Zhang from Mount Si High School PTSA 2.8.26 for being Awarded the National PTA Outstanding Interpretation in Visual Arts at the high school level.

Title: Outside the Glass
Artist Statement:
The girl in the sculpture reaches out of the mirror. She represents belonging through self-acceptance as she is no longer hiding the parts of herself she used to fear or reject. Everyone has a side to them thats isn’t the prettiest, so by revealing both her living side and her skeletal side, she shows that true belonging happens when she embraces her whole identity. This means that she reaches into the world as her true self, with the beautiful, the broken, and the strange parts.
