🎉🌟 Congratulations to Susan Bergen of Bergen Enterprises, recipient of the 2026 Community Supporter of the Year Award! 🎶🐯

For nearly a decade, Susan and Bergen Enterprises have been incredible supporters of the Norman High School Bands, through generous sponsorship of our annual NHS Big Band Dinner Dance and continued investment in our students and music programs. This year, Susan also helped launch our “New Look, Same Legacy” campaign to provide new marching uniforms for our band.

We are deeply grateful for her dedication, generosity, and belief in the power of music education. Thank you, Susan, for helping our students continue to grow, perform, and thrive!

At tonight’s band banquet, we had the privilege of honoring two incredible outgoing NHBA board members whose impact on our program has been felt in countless ways. From long hours behind the scenes to cheering on our students, their dedication and leadership has benefitted the Norman High School Bands!

BAND BANQUET PREP ✔️ The 2026 Norman High School Bands Band Banquet is prepped and ready—and apparently our decorating strategy was: “more balloons.” 🎈🧡🖤😂

Huge thanks to our awesome parent volunteers for spending the evening prepping student gifts, inflating balloons and probably losing all feeling in their fingertips for the cause. We couldn’t pull off events like this without you! Tomorrow night is going to be amazing! 🎶🐅

🎶 We’re almost ready — but we still need a few amazing band parents to join our NHBA team for next year! 🎶

Thanks to our wonderful volunteers, most of our committee positions have already been filled for the 2026-27 school year. We’re now looking for a few more parents to help us round out our team and continue supporting the students and directors of the Norman High School Bands! 🖤 🧡

Open positions include:
🎺 Restaurant Night Coordinator
🎺 Corporate Sponsorship Coordinator
🎺 Marching Contests Coordinator
🎺 Fundraisers Coordinator

Many of these roles are low time commitment, and you’ll have support from experienced board members along the way. Whether you’re a longtime band parent or brand new to the program, there’s a place for YOU to help make a difference!

🎉 THANK YOU, NHS & ALCOTT BAND FAMILIES! 🎉
Thanks to the amazing generosity of our band families, friends, and community supporters, our Spring Concert raffle was a HUGE success and raised over $700 toward new marching band uniforms for the Norman High School Bands ! 🧡🖤

We are so thankful to everyone who purchased raffle tickets, donated items, volunteered their time, and helped bring us closer to our fundraising goal! Our sincere thanks to Gaberino's Homestyle Italian Restaurant, il Dolce Gelato, OU Education, T-Mobile and Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma for donating items in support of our auction!
