The next 20 Over 60 honoree we are spotlighting is Diana Lewis!
Diana embodies the spirit of service, leadership, and compassion. Known for her radiant smile and uplifting presence, she is a trusted mentor, advocate, and friend to countless individuals. She is deeply involved in her church—visiting the sick, creating and sending inspirational cards, and serving as Social Coordinator and Encourager for seniors. In the community, she teaches English as a Second Language through STAR Literacy, helps families organize their homes during moves or after the loss of a loved one, and volunteers with the United Way Dolly Parton Imagination Library. She also serves as Commissioner and Chairperson of the Bloomington Housing Authority Board and volunteers with the Western Avenue Community Center, the Senior Activity and Recreation Center, and Faith in Action as a driver.
She says her greatest accomplishments include raising her daughters to become compassionate women who have served on mission trips to Mexico and South Africa and earned their college degrees. She is also proud of two former students who completed college, one now a nurse and the other a social worker.
Returning to South Africa, honoring the prayers of her ancestors, was a profound milestone.
Diana said, “My faith drives me to uplift everyone I meet. Inspired by my mother, Dovie Clark, a Civil Rights activist, I hope my legacy reflects kindness, blessing, and the truth that God is good.”
