Freedom has never been free. It was earned and protected by those willing to stand in harm’s way for something greater than themselves. We remember the fallen not only for how they died, but for how they lived — with duty, honor, and commitment to their brothers, sisters, families, and nation.
Today, we pause to remember the men and women who gave their lives in service to this country. Memorial Day is more than a long weekend or the start of summer — it is a day to honor sacrifice, courage, and the families forever changed by loss.
As we spend time with family and friends today, let us take a moment of silence for those who never made it home and for the Gold Star families who carry that sacrifice every day.
May we never forget their service, their sacrifice, and the price of our freedom.
Enjoy your day and honor those who went before.
