This past weekend Troop 85 had the honor of going to and sleeping on the USS New Jersey (BB-62) along with Pack 181. At night we got to have our 3 hour tour with some things not accessible to the public. In the morning we took our own self guilded tour, on the top of the ship, the bridge, and the bow. The Scouts in both the Troop and the Pack had an awesome time!

Troop 85 would like to congratulate its newest Eagle Scout, Anthony Quaglio. While in Troop 85, Anthony has earned: 32 merit badges, and the National Outdoor Award for Camping. He has accumulated over 70 nights of camping, attending summer camp at Citta Scout Reservation. He has attended several high adventure trips, whitewater rafting on the Hudson and Black rivers in New York; as well as high adventure hiking in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, summiting Mt. Washington, Moosilauke, and the Hancocks.

He is currently the Senior Patrol Leader of Troop 85, and has held the following leadership positions: Assistant Senior Patrol Leader, Quartermaster, Scribe, Patrol Leader and Den Chief. For his Eagle Project, Anthony constructed recreational park benches and did trail maintenance at Kittatinny Valley State Park.
