❤️🤍💙 🎉 Cheers to 250 Years | Fourth of July Week Initiative 🎉 ❤️🤍💙
It’s one month to the Fourth of July! As part of the yearlong commemoration, the 250th Steering Committee is excited to launch “Cheers to 250 Years” — a community-wide celebration taking place July 1–5, and we are looking for local Newport businesses to participate.
Originally focused on highlighting local eateries, this initiative now welcomes ALL local businesses to showcase something special for the holiday week, including:
• Patriotic-themed specials or offerings 🇺🇸
• Extended or adjusted holiday hours
• In-store events, promotions, or celebrations
• Community engagement activities
We have early participation confirmation from MJ Harrington Jewelers, Petal Patch Florist & Unique Gifts, Rockingham
Brewing West, Library Arts Center, Newport Fitness and Spa, The Big Spoon, Salt Hill Pub, and Breaking bread — more confirmations by the day! We look forward to sharing all of the exciting offerings available to the public the week of fourth of July in celebration of America’s 250th birthday!
📍 Submission Deadline: Monday, June 8 - This allows us to finalize promotional materials and launch marketing efforts to share what’s happening across Newport during Independence Day week and build excitement leading into the celebration.
Beyond businesses, we warmly encourage full community participation throughout July 1–5. Whether you plan to stop by one of the many business locations or help our committee efforts in creating a festive, welcoming atmosphere by decorating homes, yards and storefronts with patriotic flair. While this initiative operates on a zero-dollar budget and we are unable to provide decorating support, every effort contributes to a vibrant town-wide celebration.
