The 6th Annual Share the Cross event was a success! We raised more than $3,000 to donate to seminarians, pro life causes, and local food banks. Not to mention, it was a beautiful spiritual reflection along the Sugar River trail, praying the Stations of the Cross with YOUR INTENTIONS at the foot of the Cross at each stop. A special thank you to all our donors, especially the folks over at NLCS Inc. Donations are still open if you missed out at kofc4983.org/share-the-cross. Please consider joining us next year!

Hello everyone, the time has arrived to commence the promotion of our Sixth Annual Share the Cross fundraising event. This community event, scheduled for October 19th, entails walking some or all of 10 miles along the Sugar River, and serves as both a spiritual and charitable occasion. We cordially invite individuals, including Knights, to participate in this walk and extend their support. Please consider providing spiritual intentions for us to reflect upon during our journey and consider donating via the link below to aid us in reaching our goal. 100% of all donations will be allocated to seminarians, pro-life causes, and local food pantries. When you see Knights in yellow vests that read "Helping People with Intellectual Disabilities," this weekend you should smile. When these Knights are holding their bright cans and collecting donations, they are helping to recognize the dignity of every person.

For every donation, each donor is offered a Tootsie Roll. Because of these little gifts of appreciation, the "Campaign for People with Intellectual Disabilities" has frequently been referred to as the "Tootsie Roll Drive." It is one of the most popular and successful fundraisers conducted by the Knights of Columbus.

The Tootsie Roll Program provides health care, learning, and quality of life opportunities for children, teens, and adults with disabilities.

These past few weeks in March have been busy! Quick recap to accompany these pics:

First of all, congratulations to for a completion of a great fundraiser and thank you to all who purchased chocolates! Well done boys!

Mount Royal Academy hosted the state KofC Free Throw Competition Championship with help from Knights of #4983. Congratulations to the winners and thank you to all who participated, hope you had as much fun as we did.

We had a VERY successful pancake breakfast! We hope you enjoyed 🥞😋! See you next time with even fluffier cakes..

Our annual Lenten Retreat was also successful to prepare our minds and souls for this upcoming Easter while reflecting on the season of Lent. If you couldn't make it, a great service, discussion, and dinner were enjoyed.

We initiated THREE new Knights! Congratulations Gregory Hampson, Rich Olahan, and Edward Kanu, the latter joining the ranks of three other former Squires now young Knights!

Lastly, we released a great pamphlet to display to the public which outlines our programs and other things we do to allow the parish folk to understand who we are as a council. Please check it out when you can.

One more thing before I sign off: unfortunately we did say goodbye to a couple Brother Knights this past month. Jim Preisendorfer, our State Faith Director passed away suddenly, and a long time council leader Larry Flint also passed after struggling with health. Larry's wake and funeral were accompanied by Assembly #3893's honor guard as well as a few of our Brothers from Claremont which he served with. May their souls and the souls of all the faithfully departed rest in peace, Amen.
