We were a smaller than normal group to sing carols at The Newport Opera House, we had fun and I feel people did enjoy us being there making a "joyful noise" for them.
I think the pictures and short videos posted here show the fun that we all had.

Don't forget that The Area Choir will be singing tomorrow, (Saturday Dec. 13, 2025) from the balcony at the Newport Opera House at 4:00PM until 6:00 PM. Bring friends to sing with us if you like.

Faces of The Area Choir 2025.

The Area Choir wound down last evening around 9:30, after the final song was sung, marks made on our music had been erased, and all the other necessary work was finished. There is plenty more to be done to finalize packing away music and other files.
It was a successful concert weekend. I'm sure many of us still have music in our ears from the concerts.
We would like to thank everyone who had a part in this year's concert weekend.
We will make one more appearance and that will be Saturday, Dec. 13 at the Newport Opera House. We will be singing from 4:00PM to 6:00PM.

One concert down two to go. You can hear the Area Choir this afternoon Dec. 7, 2025 at 3:00 and evening at 7:00.
Hope you have time to attend one of the concerts. It really is a nice way to sit back, relax, and enjoy the sounds of Christmas. It will help bring you back to the true meaning of Christmas.

Dear Area Choir singers,

We are so excited that the first rehearsal of our Christmas concert season is this Sunday, October 19 at South Congregational Church, 20 Church St, in Newport!

The church will be open beginning at 3:30 PM for you to check in and pick up your music and name tag, and be seated before our two-hour rehearsal starts at 4 PM. Rehearsals will include a short break.

You can park in the lot at the back of the church accessed via Church Street, (please do not block the pastor's driveway at the far end of the parking lot) or you can park along Church Street. Use the back door closest to the parking lot to enter.

Please be mindful of not wearing scented products to rehearsal. We suggest dressing in layers since the church can often be cool, and bringing a container of water to stay hydrated. It is fine to wear a mask, though not required.

We are looking forward to singing together!
