It's Back to School time! Thank you to GFWC Newington/Wethersfield Woman’s Club members donated backpacks stuffed with school supplies to the Wethersfield Chamber of Commerce to support their “Fun Day” children’s event.

🩵This is a story about our Club member Donna Recknagel's great-nephew and his young son who is suffering with leukemia. Single parent Jason could really use some help with the mounting expenses of Kota's leukemia treatments.

GFWC Newington/Wethersfield Woman’s Club members Donna Recknagel and Chylene Pender laced up to support the "Love from Levi 5th Annual 3-mile Walk" fundraiser. That's one mile for each of the brief 3 months that little Levi was with his family.

💙 is a non-profit charity and awareness movement started in memory of a young child named Levi who fought a complex CHD (congenital heart disease/defect). It has donated more than $40,000 to Children's Medical Center in Hartford.

What a great way to spend a Saturday by stepping into Connecticut history sipping a cool summer lemonade! GFWC Newington/Wethersfield Woman’s Club members attended The Newington Historical Society Lemonade Social at the Enoch Kelsey House at 1702 Main St, Newington, on July 25th.

This community "Library" at The Community Room Cafe supplies free books for your summer reading! Take a book, leave a book! Thank you Newington Cub Scout Pack 347 and GFWC Newington/Wethersfield CT for helping to make this available in our community!

Reading of our Declaration of Independence on Wednesday, July 8, was a national event. Towns across the nation gathered in their various time zones to coordinate the reading at the same time. GFWC Newington/Wethersfield President, Chylene Pender, participated in the reading of the Delaration of Independence. She's on the right, sporting a very patriotic outfit! Shoutout to Club members that supported this event -- Jo Late, Pat Mahoney, Sue Patten, Susan Sonstrum.
